Would Emma and Gavin end up together? What explanations would we get for what was revealed at the end of book 1.
This book had a ton of conflict in it, Emma is so innocent but yet there's this fire inside her and Gavin is just dominance in everything that he does. His past is not easy, it's dark, it's tragic and it's full of complication. Emma's past relationship is also terrible and for her I could see how trust was so important to her.
These two definite have a road ahead of them and it's paved with a ton of WTF moments that have you on the edge of your seat. I loved how their story plays out in this but I did have issues with some of the conflict throughout and how easily his past was forgiven. I also sort of expected a bit more from that past especially with the incident that was revealed at the end of book one.
Even so I still thoroughly enjoyed this book and even more so I definitely am excited to read the next book because Cooper left me with a broken heart in this one. I definitely want to see him get his HEA.
Conflicted librarian Emma Bell can't decide what to do. Does she say the secrets she's discovered about Gavin Kingsley don't matter to her, or does she turn her back on his bad boy hotness and say that nice guy Cooper is more her style? Gavin pushes her hot buttons like no other, but will giving in to her carnal desires only lead to heartache in the end?
I wasn't real comfy with Gavin in this book and even less so with Cooper, that jack weed. The only one of the brothers that seemed to his his crap together was Quinn. Quinn being the oldest is used to settling the disputes whether they be verbal or physical better the younger two. I don't think even Quinn could stop Gavin's fist in Coopers face in one scene.
The storyline moved rather quickly, there's a lot that goes on in this book, much of Gavin's past that he shares with Emma, Emma being stalked, adding to that Quinn telling Emma for the sake of the business and family to choose between the brothers. No brainer there. Read the story and you'll see it. And then there's the dung that hits the fan with the business when they get some seriously bad press due to a high profile client and his date.
I read this one in one day. The book was like a mini roller coaster, not enough to white knuckle but enough to try and hit the invisible brake peddle.
Cooper's book is up next, that looks to be interesting, so it's on my reading list.
I honestly liked book one better. That was a five star read for me. All the way around.
But by all means, read this one. If you have read book one, jump right in on that one. You will love it. Dirty Little Secrets.
Just by reading the Epilogue 2 of Cooper and a bit of coopers story. I so wish I was his assistant lol
Can’t wait for the 3rd book!!!
