Editorial Reviews

"A sexy, sweet treasure of a story. I loved every word." ((Sylvia Day, #1 New York Times bestselling author on Sweet Filthy Boy))

"Readers will quickly fall for Finn. Lauren has mastered writing delectable heroes and strong-willed heroines to match, and the contrast between the rough-edged Finn and polished Harlow makes for a passionate romance." (RT Book Reviews)

The pseudonymous writing duo behind Beautiful Bastard (2013) continues the Wild Seasons series with a sequel that is both dirty and rowdy. When a friend's comic-book store opening brings Finn to Harlow's neighborhood, they can't deny their lingering feelings for long […] In addition to casual sex, the two distract themselves from more serious life issues with authentic regional fun involving comic books and craft beers with their friends, who make for hilarious secondary characters. Fans will appreciate that Mia and Ansel, who were the focus of Book 1 [Sweet Filthy Boy], are still together when they all meet up at the grand opening. In a story that is easily devoured in one sitting, the details are sparse but spot-on—"Apparently there are a lot of nerds in San Diego," notes Finn—and witty dialogue carries the plot swiftly to a happy ending. The romance unfolds like a series of drunken text messages, which, perhaps surprisingly, is not a bad thing. (Kirkus)

Sweet Filthy Boy lives up to every yummy bit of its title. Each word, each thought, each touch from Ansel is pure, unadulterated SEX. Christina Lauren's assured writing and their ability to create a scorching and witty love story makes them an automatic 1-Click for us.” (The Rock Stars of Romance)

"Sweet Filthy Boy had my heart pounding from cover to cover and reminded me of first loves and being young. A must-read!" (Fangirlish)

"Fun. Sexy. Captivating. Sweet Filthy Boy was everything I've come to expect from this dynamic duo!" (The Autumn Review)

"No one is doing hot contemporary romance like Christina Lauren. Sweet Filthy Boy is beyond swoon worthy. Just give me Book Two right now." (Bookalicious)

“It's official: I'd read Christina Lauren's grocery list if they'd let me. The girls wrote the French-boy fantasy I didn't know I had. Just when I thought I didn't have time for yet another book boyfriend, I made time for Ansel....” (That's Normal)

“Hot . . . if you like your hook-ups early and plentiful..." ((EW.com on Beautiful Bastard))

“A devilishly depraved cross between a hardcore porn and a very special episode of The Office…For us fetish-friendly fiends to feast on!!” (PerezHilton.com)

"The perfect blend of sex, sass and heart, Beautiful Bastard is a steamy battle of wills that will get your blood pumping!" (S.C. Stephens, bestselling author of Thoughtless)

"One of the freshest, funnies and most emotionally authentic erotic romances I've ever read." (RT Book Reviews on Sweet Filthy Boy)

“The thing that I love the most about Christina Lauren and the duo’s Beautiful books is that there is always humor in them. As well as hot steamy moments and some of the sweetest I love you’s.” (BooksSheReads.com)

“Smart, sexy, and satisfying...destined to become a romance classic.” (Tara Sue Me, bestselling author of The Submissive,)

I will always buy any book Christina Lauren writes, and would pay top dollar too.....but why, oh why did you have to have Finn walk away like that!?
Harlow's mom has cancer, she could be preggo, they just had a week of heart wrenching emotion with each other.....and he walks away from it... Never, never would anyone, especially a woman having to deal with those emotions accept that. I completely checked out after that.
THEN to have him act the way he did when she saw him @ the dock...forget it, I was done. This woman is strong and independent, not stupid or with no self esteem. The way she just waited around for him to eventually come around to her was pitiful. I hated the entire last part of the book and really made me angry with Finn; get over your pride and make a call or text to say goodbye, He became a spineless, selfish person and I just got pissed knowing how much better it could have gone. So disappointed.

I just can not get enough of Christina Lauren Novels. They have the perfect blend of humor, sexiness, angst, and emotion in all of their books but they are also different with each couple. I fell hard for Ansel in Sweet Filthy Boy as a lawyer and even harder with Finn as a fisherman, complete opposites in careers but without the titles they are both so lovable and sexy.

Finn and Harlow were married in Vegas for 12 hours. They had one night of full of mind-blowing orgasms that they both could never forget even when drunk. In the day they are pretty opposite, he is a fisherman and she is the daughter of an actress and director but that is not what defines them. They have only seen each other once since then and Harlow was not happy about how it ended so when she sees him again in her town so is torn between pissed and excited. She could use a good orgasm....

Finn is in San Diego to support his friend Oliver and his new business as a comic book store owner but he is also there to figure out the future of his family's fisherman business. He doesn't need distraction but when he is near Harlow he can't help but want to do tie her up and give her what they both need, to turn their brains off and their bodies on. Harlow needs this since she is going through something that she can fix which is difficult for her since she is a fixer when it comes to family and friends. She wants to keep this one issue away fro Finn. Can she open up to Finn with what has her mind reeling?

The sex in this one is off the charts hot. Finn is alpha but just the perfect amount, he is still sweet but sure knows his way around ropes in the bedroom. Amazing with his hands and a giver.

Harlow Vega and Finn Roberts were married for twelve steamy hot hours in the Vegas weekend that started it all in Sweet Filthy Boy. Now post-annulment, Dirty Rowdy Thing thrusts the two back together as they try their hands at being friends after Finn resurfaces in Harlow's hometown to visit their mutual friends. Both dealing with their own set of personal problems, they turn to each other for an easy distraction that could potentially end up a much bigger distraction than they are prepared to deal with.

Harlow is the perfect female protagonist, smart and funny, beautiful and no nonsense. She's fun and strong and completely likeable. Finn is just delicious. A smoking hot Canadian fisherman, he's exactly the type of guy that Harlow is least likely to ever end up with. He's a blue collar career fisherman, she's the privileged daughter of Hollywood royalty. He's struggling to keep his family business afloat, she's just been hit with a blow to her family's foundation that she has no idea how to handle. Both doers, Harlow and Finn are both known for attacking problems head on, stepping in when crap hits the fan and fixing it by any means necessary. But presently, they find themselves in uncharted waters, facing grim circumstances they have no idea how to repair. The only thing that brings them any reprieve is the compatibility they find in the bedroom (and in the car... and against the wall...)

Wrought with sexual tension and angst, the pseudo-friendship between Finn and Harlow is simply decadent. Far more than just a wicked attraction, the dialogue and the chemistry and the humor that exists between the two is addictive. The writing pair of Christina Lauren delivers another outside-the-box dynamic, another storyline rife with humor and friendship, sex and romance.

Readers we have an answer information on book 4 - on our website!
The moment I opened this book, I was reminded of how much I love this duo’s writing and how much I was looking forward to Harlow and Finn.

Wow, Finn is just WOW; his story and his character are so much more than I expected. I love that he was dirty and rowdy in bed but without being a manwhore. There was no sordid past, no long line of women – just Finn knowing what he wants in bed and how to please Harlow! Now outside of bed, Finn is guarded and closed off. I truly enjoyed watching him open up to Harlow (even when he wasn’t sure if it was for the right reasons).

Both Harlow and Finn have a lot going in their personal lives in this book. The blurb keeps most of this a secret so I will as well. I will say I loved what Finn did, how he struggled and the solution to that truly played well into a future for him and Harlow and I love how it tied into Harlow’s upbringing and career (I know very vague – just trust me, it all ties together so well)

Harlow’s family was well crafted; I love her relationship with her dad and the story line around her mother was powerful and truly added to the story.

Finn’s nickname for Harlow was adorable. He turns Ginger Snap into just Snap and it made me smile each time.

It was wonderful to see Mia and Ansel, to see them happy and together! Because yes I loved book 1 as well.

I think it is also worth adding that I love how this group came together; the backstory for Finn, Ansel, Oliver and uggh Perry meeting assembled a diverse cast. And the adorable Vegas meeting from book one with friends Mia, Lola and Harlow have truly made for a wonderful dynamic for a series.
