What’s It All About:
I love saying those words.
She’s mine, and if she thinks I’m going to let her run without tracking her down and bringing her back to where she belongs—with me—then she’s about to be introduced to a new reality.
Because I’ll fight dirty to give her the happily ever after she deserves.”
Description taken from Amazon.
The Best Parts:
When you think nothing could get better, or even worse in a novel then you are wrong. Crey and Holly have been through so much and after her walking out on him for a second time there is no more running away. They need to fix themselves and it will only happen one way, with four simple words.
This last book to the series opens and closes so many doors from the rest of the books and we are able to gain closure from the relationship that is Holly and Crey. The twists and turns and the hilarity of nonsense that comes from Holly’s mouth is pure genius. I never thought I would like a short series so much, but this one takes the cake. It is fun, and sexy, like super dirty sexy that has you blushing in a crowd and wishing you had your own Executive ;]
The Worst Parts:
I have to say the most out there part of this whole book was the whole thing with Creighton’s father… like so out there, but awesome, but so weird. Like I thought something was so going to go down, but then nothing which I guess is good, but still, like what just happened?!
Also, can I get more stories for other characters please?! :D
This series kept me on toe the entirety of the last few days and has re-sparked the need to read something awesome, dirty, and so loving. I have more of Meghan March’s novels and now I just HAVE to read those too! :]
Definitely this 3rd book is my favorite for many reasons, Creighton never give up on Holly and this stubborn woman finally trusted Creighton and stopped running away from him.
This book starts after Holly run away from Creighton (for the second time), she decided to have a break at her Gran’s house, but since MY Creighton is a fighter, a M A N who knows what he wants, he tracked her down and never let her run away from him again.
“She’s mine, and if she thinks I’m going to let her run without tracking her down and bringing her back to where she belongs - with me - then she’s about to be introduced to a new reality.”
So they fought for their love and it’s amazing that we get to see how perfect they were for each other, this was a sweet and lovable part, when they learned how to get along, Creight gave Holly his heart and soul and she learnt how to accept that good things can happen to her too, and finally she let Creighton know that she loved him as much as he does.
Well it wasn’t all hearts and flowers, there were some obstacles that made you think that Holly will run away for the third time, but no no no she learnt the lesson and she decided to support his husband no matter what.
"I decided it was time to show you that I know how to run to you just as well as I know how to run away"
The beautiful epilogue was the cherry on the top, great end for an addicting story, you will love this sexy, country girl, Holly will make you laugh with her sassiness and you will fall for Creighton, a “demanding, dominant and deliciously dirty” alpha male that will never give up on you ;) This trilogy worth reading so grab your copy NOW.
For a book that started so well, I unfortunately was left feeling somewhat underwhelmed with the ending of this series. I really quite enjoyed the first 60% where Creighton and Holly basically reconnected and knocked down barriers, but then I started to find events somewhat predictable. The two major dramatic twists, I saw coming a mile away. Now I am a fairly perceptive and intuitive reader so I may have just read situations leading to these twists well, but one of these things I started suspecting in book two and the other I knew what was going to happen straight away. Because of this, the big build up to the ending just sort of plateaued for me.
One thing that really got to me was that the events leading to the cliffhanger of the previous book didn’t appear resolved to me. I can’t believe that they never spoke of it again, especially considering events that occur in this book. I know this is a work of fiction but I think there has to be a certain level of realness to every book and I think a reasonable person would be expecting this conversation to take place.
What I found quit interesting is that I actually really ended up liking Creighton while I struggled to connect with Holly at times. This is a complete 180 from what I felt after reading the first book. I couldn’t stand Creighton then. I found him way too arrogant and aggressive but in the end I really, really liked the human side that came out of him. I’m not sure I could have finished this series if we didn’t see this progression.
This was the first series by Meghan March that I read and although I wasn’t blown away by it, I am still very interested to read her Beneath series.Read more ›
