The book is told from Kelly’s POV and I liked her for the most part. She was a strong character that had her mind made up, yet held a vulnerability that she wasn’t willing to let go of any time soon. Yes, it was a little predictable, but I couldn’t help but love the story, simply because of Justin. He was swoony, he was responsible, he was loyal, he was all-around a good guy. The chemistry between the two was off the charts and it made for a sweet story that is easily devoured in a couple of hours. Fans of accidental pregnancies and contemporary romance will love this one.
I'd love to give this a higher review but honestly it felt too rushed and the characters didn't feel quite as developed as I'd have wished them to be. The storyline is a great concept. I loved the conflict. For me it was just missing something. It was really short and I'm not sure why the author chose to end things so abruptly. I felt like something was missing at the end especially with the brother and the father. There were a few side characters that just didn't have enough depth to their relationships to the heroine. The sister was the only one that really was flushed out, but her friend and boss, that just didn't make sense to me. Not enough back story maybe. I don't know it was just missing something for me.
Elise Faber is one of the most versatile writes on the indie scene. You simply can't go wrong with one of her books!
