This must be an updated version because all of the other reviews I read are before 2018 praise this book. Its very disappointing.
As I was reading page after page, it became clearer sentence after sentence why my child is having problems in school. Everything the teacher complains about is because of his learning style. Firstly, he is going to a multi-grade school in a small town. So, she teaches one grade and then gives them some work to do and continues to teach the other class in the same classroom. She tells me he is not doing anything then. Well, he can's concentrate and neither could I frankly! He needs quiet and not a teacher teaching others non-related material when he is supposed to be doing homework. Then, he plays with a pencil while she is talking, she takes it away. He plays with an eraser, she takes it away! Gee wee :-o. He is a kinesthetic learner and needs to have something in his hand. He is not disturbing anybody by turning his pencil upside town. How many people do that in meetings of adults and I have never heard anybody tell them, stop playing with the pen and pay attention. So why do they do it to a child???? I haven't spoken to her yet, as I have just discovered this, but plan to do it soon. I am glad my son is only 6 so I don't feel I lost much time
