Fantastic price from used seller. Book in great condition. A little dated, 2 years old, but is the version the teacher is using for class. Very happy with it and a lot wll be learned. LOTS of history of computers and general info. Only need 2013 version if you want the latest and greatest info on up to the minute technology. Of course, if that's what you need, learn online because as soon as you receive the book, it will be outdated.

Before I even began this book, I already have built myself a gaming computer. By then I thought I knew all the basics of a computer. Certainly I am wrong, this book enlightens me in the area of or related to computers

Then came this book, which taught me computers terminology, software types, and functions. I absorbed so much basic computer knowledge with this book.

Maybe it's just in the Kindle version, but holy moly there are lots and lots of typos in this damn book. Entire paragraphs are rendered incomprehensible because of missing words.

I guess should have pony'ed up the extra 3 bucks and bought the paperback which I am assuming came with all words included. What a waste of money.

I ordered a "new" copy.. and this book was definitely used! there looked to be something sticky on the cover, and the bind was practically falling apart. wasn't happy, but luckily i ended up dropping this class, so it wasn't needed anymore.

Pretty heavily outdated, but it works as a somewhat decent introduction.
