A chance meeting. A secret that binds them together. Reconnecting. Lies. Love. This book was wild. Every time I thought there was no way fate was working as it was things would click into place.

That author had me enthralled. I was so invested in Rachel meeting Mr. X that I started getting nervous every time it might occur. The couple was so perfect. As a strong willed women (a title I wear with honor) I know the struggle Rachael faces when letting people help her. Tanner was amazingly patient and knew her better than she knew herself.

The world the author has created has me rushing to read the next book to see how she can top what happ

First of all, I love the writing of Elle Nicoll. It's a story that you can tell has been carefully crafted and flows seamlessly. It's a great work of art and that automatically earned it three stars.

But why isn't it a five star book? I found Tanner and Rachel to both extremely annoying. Rachel's storyline was complex and had some deeprooted trauma but I felt like it wasn't addressed enough, it wasn't throughly solved. And it didn't give her an excuse or a free pass to be such a dang b%>/h.

And that right there is why I didn't like Tanner. During the deed, sure, say what you want, dirty talk is always a yes. But even casually calling the person you're seeing that is a hard no for me.

A good 20% of this book felt drawn out, making me wonder if I was going to DNF it but I pushed through. It needed a better grovel scence but it was fair.

A low ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Like 3.9.

I didn’t think Book 1 could be topped but I was wrong. Rachel wasn’t my favorite to start. She has a much different personality so she was very hard to relate to. After some time and getting to know her and her background better she started to grow on me. The best thing about this book was Tanner. I loved his big heart, his sexiness, and his drive and patience to capture Rachel’s heart. Their deeper family connection was also a wonderful pull of the heart strings. I can’t wait to see more in this series.

In this Discovering Mr. X, We find Rachel playing a large role (unbeknownst to her) in a complete stranger getting a business deal of a life time, she has no idea how far he is willing to go to pay her back.

A big difference between the first book in this series and this second one, is that we get the Hero’s point of view. I found this to be much more rewarding in watching the main characters relationship grow and any bumps in the road they hit.

I loved this book. A lot of emotion was put into it. Since this is the same world and group of friends as the first book, you have the same secondary characters who really added an extra spark to this book.

their chemistry and passion is explosive. both fiery, smart and witty. A match made in heaven , he had her questioning all her beliefs and she is everything he wants and needs. they challenge each other, their banter is the best! Rachel is independent strong woman who knows what’s she wants in life but Tanners patience and care can see behind and he’s the only one that can break down her wall.

There’s nothing better than a brilliant story that makes you laugh, smile, cry and makes you hot.

I loved everything about this story and the ending/last chapter was EVERYTHING!

Having just devoured meeting Mr Anderson I jumped straight in with Discovering Mr X.

Now I was a huge Rachel fan in Meeting Mr Anderson and I was really looking forward to seeing more of her - I was not disappointed.

Rachel is stubborn, confident,tenacious and oh so heartbreakingly complicated and Tanner just gets her. I absolutely adored how the author intertwined their stories, and even though at times I wanted to legit shake Rachel knowing her history I get why she made the decisions she made. And Oh Tanner. He was so together and just what Rachel needed.

Can I just take a minute and acknowledge that thing that came out of nowhere and made me ball.my.eyes out! 😂 I don't cry at many books, but i think at some point we have all been here. Yes I am trying to not put any spoilers in - how am I doing?

I'm really enjoying this series, and highly recommend. Perfect zone out and disappearing into book world material. I was engrossed from page 1.
