For those familiar with the series, there have been some major upgrades to the leveling/class system. No longer do you need to reincarnate into a second tier class to unlock a third tier. The tiers can be unlocked simply by bringing a tier one class to the appropriate level. Creating characters no longer costs mana either, instead, it costs money which is far easier to come by. Plus, you can pay to have the new character start at your current level. Gone are the days of destroying your beloved fighters to unlock a new class and being forced to grind their level up from nothing. Also, the thief class is greatly improved, and has a much higher success rate when stealing items. Doesn't sound like much, but taking powerful weapons and armor from enemies is always a good time.
I absolutely love this game, plain and simple.
If you're someone on the fringes of diving into the vast swath of tactical mindedness, grinding, upgrading, and dungeon-conquering that is JRPGs then look no further. The Disgaea series if a mainstay in the Japanese RPG world with its level cap of 9999, insane character interactions, exploding penguins, and more.
The story sets you in a universe where "overlords" rule over their own entire planets called Netherworlds and where crazy skills and powers are expected. The plot, while not all that exciting (a usual side-selling-point for Disgaea fans) actually holds its own for once.
The gameplay throws you into the classic JRPG grid-based combat, where tactics and geography play a huge part in what you're capable of accomplishing. The game's gigantic assortment of magic, weapon skills, monster skills, and all sorts of other ridiculousness ranging from turning a tiny cat into gigantic weaponized paws, to techniques where the entire planet is shown being blown up.
The endless customization and replayability adds to the deep end-game that is found in all of the Disgaea franchise. You could level a character to level 9999, then reincarnate them, back to 9999, and repeat a hundred times over. When making one super-powerful character doesn't satisfy you, why not try making a dozen, how about fifty of them? After that you can dive into the item world and level up your weapons and armor as well. Beat up the residents inside your items to make them submit and upgrade them with the souls of other residents from other items.
After endless hours of playing through the storyline, customizing your characters, and just having fun, you'll have the distinctive background music of the game stuck in your head. You'll go to sleep and wake up in the morning the next day humming the notes as you make your coffee. A few minutes later you'll find yourself itching to start the next chapter, or unlock the next class, or to try out a new monster as an ally, and you'll know you found a quality game.

This one has a greatly improved interface for moving innocents around from place to place, much easier and
deeper item world's (haven't made to the bottom of any of them yet), and a fairly good array of new things to do
and although some of them get old pretty quick (such as the side quests, and enemy torture chamber and
exploration of new worlds) they will still keep you busy for many hours. Keeps you on your toes remembering
just what you're up to from time to time. If there is anything wrong with this game I'd say it would be that it just
isn't quite as challenging as any of it's predecessors. Even so, it's well worth the price and then some.
They've done a few changes that I've liked from previous versions, such as separating the monster difficulty from the senate voting (makes it a lot easier now to change monster difficulties for intense leveling.. Because who wants a low level Prinny, right?!).
Also, the item world was modified to my liking as well. As well as the Innocent management for transfers / combinations, etc.
All in all, while I find it annoying that I must buy the bonus maps/characters, the game itself is, in my opinion, another success.
No puedo recomendarlo mas, si eres fan del genero SRPG (Final Fantasy Tactics, Fire Emblem) el juego vale cada centavo.
