Recipe idea: Buttermilk Waffles!
Directions
1. Preheat waffle maker.
2. In medium sized mixing bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and sugar.
3. In separate bowl, beat together eggs and melted butter. Add buttermilk.
4. Add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
5. Allow to sit for 4 to 5 minutes.
6. Add 1/2 cup waffle mixture to the waffle maker and close the lid.
7. Bake between 2 and 4 minutes, using a toothpick to check that the waffle is thoroughly cooked. Makes 8 to 10 waffles.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups buttermilk

Our son gave this waffle iron to his dad for Father's Day. It was something Dad had wanted for many years. Unfortunately, when we opened the box, there was some sort of residue on the top of the waffle iron. It probably wouldn't have impacted the ability of the thing to make waffles but it was very disappointing. Then, after reading the instructions it was clear that there is no sort of indicator light for when the waffles are finished cooking. A basic, $15 waffle iron includes that feature. Even without the gunk on the top, this waffle iron is just not worth the exorbitant price one pays for the Disney character shape.

I absolutely love this waffle maker! The price is great and yes I see a lot of complaints about they're not being a timer but if you read the directions and follow them you will have perfect waffles every time. Direction states to let the waffle maker heat up for 3-4 minutes also states to cook 3 to 4 minutes. If you just read the directions you'll have cute waffles every time! I highly suggest this item your family will not be disappointed. ....

I pre heat machine for 5 min. & cook it for 5 min. It came out with perfect shape & color. If you make batter too thick, then top cover will raises up as it cooks & there is no lock. So you have to hold down the top cover. To avoid that, I make batter little looser than consistency of pancake batter.
Sad thing happened 5 month ago. Teflon coating is starting to peel off. 😫No more Mickey Mouse pancake for my grand children!!! Manufacturer should have used better quality Teflon.

It doesn’t work!!! It cooked the waffle underneath, but the top doesn’t cook it at all. So it’s faulty, not an authentic item. Plus the box was damaged, it looked like someone had opened it before. So most probably it was used as well. Just made a return request, hope to take my money back at least. DO NOT BUY!!!
