The advertisement for the above offer clearly states that you will receive 50 Different pins in this lot. When the package came, however, there were duplicates. I let the seller know this and they responded by telling me I was mistaken and that the ad states that up to half will be doubles. After sending a copy of this ad to them showing that it states the pins will be "all different", they replied that I am supposed to click on a few more links somewhere on the page to find where it says that one can expect duplicates. If there is such a link on the page I do not know. What I do know is that the main page and the selling point for this item is that I would receive 50 Different pins as is stated. I think that giving anything less is, at the very least, a deception and at most, false advertising. I guess the lesson is to not trust this seller and make sure that you are going to get what their ad states.... Or shop with those that give what they say they are going to.

This product is not 100% authentic,If you are a knowledgeable pin trader you know about scrappers which are not supposed to be reintroduced into the trading community
and we received 2 so far that we found and also got a duplicate which is stated that it should not happen, the pin lots should be gone through much better before shipped

These pins are known as scrappers. They are not officially produced by Disney but are cheap overuns or knocks off's.

Pins arrived in a very timely manner, no duplicates within each bag. However, I ordered a set of 25 (1 bag) and a set of 50 (2 bags) and 2 of the 3 bags contained the exact same pins. Just something to be aware of. One pin has a bent back post.

Also, really, If something seems too good to be true- it probably is! These are very low cost pins. They LOOK like real pins and have Disney backstamps, but most of them are 'scrappers' or bootlegs, or otherwise not legit. They vary in color or backstamps from real pins that can be seen in detail on websites about bootleg pins. In a quick search through the online archives, I was able to clearly identify at least six pins (out of 25) from each bag that are known scrappers. They show a pic of the real pin and a pic of the fake with a description of what is different. Guess which one I got?
There were a few more pins that I couldn't find a description of online, I'm not sure what that means. Then there are a few that are not well described online, or the differences are so subtle that it is really impossible to tell if it is authentic or not.

I am not complaining about what I got: for the price, I should have assumed these would not be authentic pins. However, other purchasers should be aware of exactly what they are buying. I question the ethics of buying/selling/trading these pins on the Disney market. I think the seller is REALLY pushing the boundaries of good business by declaring these as "OFFICIAL" Disney trading pins, and "100% tradable in the parks!"

I do think that many of these pins will "pass" and be tradable on the street, especially for kids, who probably don't care where they came from.
However, be warned- these pins are not something you could expect to resell, and they could get called out by a cast member and be refused as fake because, well, they are.

Disney Official Trading Pin Lot of 50 Lapel Collector Pins

I order the 50 Disney trading pin set and received the exactly same 25 pins in both bags, order said no duplicates but I have two of everything, I am not sure that I would purchase from this person again via Amazon. It is not worth the money. I am very disappointed.

I knew some of the pins would be fakes, they would never sell a large set of real Disney pins for roughly $1 each but when I get the pins they were all scrappers, fakes...rip offs. I would not keep a single one of these pins for my own collection and I would feel so guilty trading these fakes at Disney. Very disappointing!

Pins arrived sooner than expected. Many were Vinylmations. We've been to Disney and the grandkids have traded those they wanted to trade. No issues.

Note that these are cheap knock-offs. As I understand it, the factory in China that makes the official pins will keep molds that have gotten too worn to meet Disney's standards, and crank out a couple hundred extras, generally with inferior materials. So don't get these expecting collectible quality.

OTOH, my wife likes to take the pins, cut the actual pin off the back, and make jewelry out of them. For that purpose, these work wonderfully well. It takes a keen eye to notice the imperfections, so it passes most of the time. For these kinds of projects, or if you don't care about collecting and trading, it's hard to do worse than this kind of deal.
