I love PIXAR movies. They are always entertaining and the music is always a key part of the movies. This compilation is wonderful, including something from every movie, including the new film, UP! Randy Newman is stellar, Thomas Newman gives a classic feel, and Michael Giacchino is now my new favorite composer for his work on Ratatouille and Incredibles and Up! (not to mention his amazing score for Star Trek). The only issue i have is that "Beyond the Sea" by Robbie Williams (from Finding Nemo) was conspicuously left off the CD, while Cars has three pop songs (I could really do without Sheryl Crow's "Real Gone"). It may be possible there were licensing issues, as even that Robbie Williams song is only available on the full Nemo album download and not as an individual mp3. I guess they try to make up for it by including 3 score tracks from Nemo, while only one from Cars, but that's a stretch. All in all, a great compilation but the missing song drops a star for me.

This is an excellent CD of the best music from Pixar movies. I love the hit song "Real Gone" from Sheryl Crow. It really gets me going. I also love the new track "Carl Goes Up" by Michael Giacchino. It is very adventurous and grand sounding. Michael's other beautiful track is entitled "Wall Rat" from "Ratatouille". I also love Randy Newman's vocals on his contributions here. "You've Got A Friend in Me" and "The Time of Your Life" are great songs. I love the pretty French song "Le Festin" from Camille, and I enjoyed the heroic sounding In Credits from The Incredibles. I also love the jazzy sounding music from "Monsters" and upbeat track "Colette Shows Him the Le Ropes". I love all the tracks on this CD.

I'm so o pleased I bought this CD. I got it for my brother as a 18th birthday gift as a sort of remember-when-you-were-a-kid kind of joke. Plays he dreams of working for Pixar so the CD was a can't loose thing. But I love that it comes with the songs automatically downloaded to the Cloud so even though graduation is a month away, I can enjoy the songs. They are just so wonderful. It's a walk down memory lane with this. This is maybe the best thing I've ever bought off Amazon (and I have bought a lot). I love it and I know my brother will love it. <3<3<3<3

I bought this mainly for some of the Toy Story and Monsters, Inc. songs, but there's a lot to like on this disc. A good sampling from many Pixar movies and most of them are (in my opinion) good choices. If you like Pixar movies and like the music, this is a good way to get a small slice of everything rather than buying each movie's album. Overall, I'd probably give this 4.5 stars as I think it's a good addition to my music library.

Disney took some of the best songs from ten different Pixar films, including the newest addition Up [Theatrical Release]. My 3 1/2 year old was very familiar with all of the songs, but my personal favorite was Peter Gabriel's "Down to Earth" from Wall-E.

Even if you haven't seen all of the Pixar movies featured on this CD, you will appreciate the musical diversity: pop and country artists recorded the first nine tracks, but the rest are a variety of instrumental pieces -- I was surprised at how many my son recognized, calling out the names of the movies. (Some of the tracks seem very brief, but many are quite long.)

Another favorite of ours is Music Play Date. Both CDs are great for trips in the car, whether you'r going to the store or making a road trip.

I must have miss read the description on this. Thought there would have been singing with every song but it appears only the first few songs have the singing and the remaining are just instrumental.

This ones a bit older. There's no songs from Brave or any Pixar movies since then. However, my kids love listening to it. There are some regular songs (with singing) in the beginning and the rest of the CD is instrumental. My daughters favorite are the Cars songs. I should have bought the Cars soundtrack! But this has nice variety.

This CD would be better if 1) there were more song tracks (lots of instrumental tracks) and 2) if they mixed up the order of the songs so you wouldn't get songs from the same movies in a row. But we do listen to it a lot!
