Go into the game options menu and turn off the blue arrows, now the game presents a decent challenge. But more importantly this game offers well-designed, beautifully crafted, FUN!! The levels are filled with an insane amount of detail. You will notice all of these small and large details that come directly from the movies. The character designs are extremely fun to play with and offer up something new with each play through. If you enjoy New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Donkey Kong Country Returns, or the Lego Series games, this is an obvious must-have!! This game is similar to the Lego games but WITHOUT all the bugs. The more I have played this game the more I have realized this was NOT just thrown together to make some money. This game reminds me of the excellent Disney titles that CAPCOM used to produce for the NES and SNES back when I was a kid. Even the music in the game is well-crafted and brings a bit of nostalgia. I've also downloaded the Nightmare Before Christmas level/character pack which was only $5 and have had a blast with that, as well. The bottom line is, this game offers great variety with its levels, characters and music. It is fun for adults and children, just remember to adjust the blue help arrows accordingly. The last thing is, that this game is a blast as single or multiplayer. Honestly, don't pass this one up just because it's Disney and don't pass it up because of some negative reviews from game sites. Those game sites obviously only played the first level. You will get more than your money's worth with this title. (This is coming from a player that loves games like Portal, Limbo, Pikmin, Zelda, Mario, Ghost Trick, Plants vs Zombies, Sonic Generations, and Rayman Origins, etc.) Thanks for reading.

I bought this game after watching only the ad on youtube. I knew I liked the concept of playing a generic character that costumes up from my experiences with Little Big Planet. This game definitely did not disappoint, the puzzles are a little easier than in LBP because it does seem to be aimed at kids, but my roommate and I are 26 and we really enjoyed it. It's fun unlocking the costumes and the option of beating each other up to steal gold and get a better score added a lot to the game.
Overall a great buy!

I paid to receive this game the day it came out. It's a great game. The costumes are wondeful and all the graphics are great. It is mostly easy for my four year old son to use...you'll have to help young children with some of the jumping especially the double jump. The online store has no content but I am guessing it just isnt up right now. I did receive the free hercules costume and that worked. If you have kids that love disney movies then get this game, it is a lot of fun for kids and adults. I love that there is a four player option. I also like that there are both male and female characters so everyone can play.

I have a six year old son that is a "Disney Freak". He loves this game. I haven't been able to pry him off of it yet. It has a lot of add-on potential with levels and costumes. The graphics in the worlds look realistic to the movies that they represent. It is nice to see more PS3 games for KIDS and the family.

I purchased this video game for my 11 years old daughter and she loves it.

This game has everything a kid is looking for, comes with lots of fun in each stage, bunch of characters that are a classic and be part of their childhood and ours ;) and very interactive.

I didn't give an overall of 5 stars cause I feel the game too short (sorry if this is not a correct word), what I mean is that this game is as not as long as others, however my daughter plays it a lot.

If you have a kid in your house this is a must.

Enjoy!!!

My chief complaint about this game is that it gets boring too quickly. The levels are basically all the same, they just look differnt, same with the characters. Each level requires the same strategy to finish, and each character has the same weapon and the same skills. It really feels like a game that was rushed out to door by Disney to compete with LittleBigPlanet, which it doesn't do very well. I think after the newness of this game wears off, little will be said of it. For 25 bucks tho, its not a total waste of money. If I had paid 50, I would have returned it.

i bought 'disney universe' for my six-year-old nephew for christmas. he's a big fan of little big planet, the lego video games (star wars, indiana jones, etc), and sonic the hedgehog, so this seemed to be the perfect gift for him.

gladly, my insticts proved to be correct. when christmas was all said and done, he said this was his favorite game and he spent a solid ten hours playing during the couse of the week he was at my house.

for a six-year-old, it's a great game. true to disney form, it's got a great color pallet and a lot of the good old-fashioned disney charm. just as with litle big planet, he loved being able to customize his character (although the customizations are very, very limited) and had no problem replaying the limited number of levels that shipped with the game...which takes me to adult perspective.

i was a bit disappointed in the lack of overall content. the game ships with only six levels, among them "the lion king," "pirate of the carribean," "wall-e," "aladdin," and "alice in wonderland." granted each level, or set piece, is broken up into three parts, so technically you could say you're getting 18 levels. (at christmas DLC was already available in the form of "the nightmare before christmas"). the biggest disappointment to me was the fact that unlocking additional costumes requires replaying through an already completed level. if your kid loves the game, this isn't a problem at all. but as an adult, i found a bit tedious and a bit of a cop-out on the developers' part. it seems they're counting on replayability instead of original content, and then milking DLC (we can all thank the "call of duty" franchise for this phenomenon).
