This is a quick read but (much to my surprise) a good one! It was well written and organized. I didn't find myself bored or frustrated while reading it. Have you read some of the other Disney on a budget type books out there? I don't need a hundred pages devoted on how to pack sandwiches and fruit in a cooler thanks. Instead, there is a lot of interesting Disneyland specific info that is up to date.
Personally, the chapter on where to eat in the parks was the most valuable part of the book to me. When we go to Disney World we always use the dining plan. Going to Disneyland meant no dining plan for us. We love to eat and enjoy special Disney treats but we also have a budget to stick to. Not only did she list specific restaurants to look for, but she even listed the more budget friendly options and how much they cost. We ate great and came in under budget even after splurging on some of our favorite treats!
We go to Disney on a budget, but we're not extreme about it. I feel like the author is on the same page as us. There were great ideas to keep costs down while still having a great time and feeling like you're on vacation. I rarely write book reviews, but this one deserved it. I consider myself to be an expert on going to Disney World on a budget. Even though Disney World and Disneyland are two completely different animals, I didn't think I had much to learn. It turns out, I was wrong. If you're headed to Disneyland with a budget you'll be so glad you picked this up.
The only regret is that I still don't live in Arizona, because this is a woman you'd certainly want to connect with! (:
