Compared to the 1,000,000 other Elsa's on the street, this one was very nice.
The color of the dress is gorgeous and she loved the sheer glittery sleeves and glittery snowflakes on the cape. I loved the look of the glitter, but it's very messy and you will have glitter everywhere for weeks! Before she wore it, I shook the dress outside for a few minutes hoping to lessen the mess, but to no avail. She wore it in the car and around the house two weeks ago and despite me having vacuumed several times since then, I'm still finding glitter everywhere; sometimes it even shows up on me randomly. Expect a glitter bomb wherever it's worn! There is a pendant sewn on the chest of the dress, but it sort of weighs the dress down and sags a bit. My daughter said the sheer sleeves weren't itchy at all on her arms even though that part of the fabric feels rough to the touch. She did complain about the finger loop at the end of the sleeves that goes around the child's finger to keep the sleeves down because it was tight and left red marks.
The dress came with a crown that was so cheap we just threw it away. It was thin and looked like something you get at the dollar store, very easy to bend or crack. She wore an Elsa crown she already had instead. Overall, the dress is decently made and I was thrilled to get it for just under $10, but I just wish the glitter didn't make such a mess every time it's worn.
The sheer fabric on the arms has a loop of elastic at the ends for a child's finger to slip through, keeping the sleeves all the way down. My daughter reports that the arm fabric is itchy, so you may want to plan for a long-sleeved shirt to wear under the dress.
The tiara that comes with the dress is a headband. We purchased the Elsa wig, but the headband would work well on a non-bewigged head.
Since there's still a couple of months until Halloween, I'd be glad to answer any questions for you trick-or-treaters.
