Great for my Chromebook

The docking station is small and light weight and works well. I was able to just plug and play and use my Chromebook with my multi-monitor setup, external keyboard, mouse, etc.

The one thing that I don't like is that I can't hot-swap/plug in and I keep forgetting about that limitation. If I plug in something while using it, my Chromebook will freeze and I will need to unplug, restart and plug back in.

The box gets VERY hot so I don't know how well it will work for a full work shift yet. I will need to remember to unplug the power when not using it so it can cool down.

I knew this would not be compatible to charge my Dell Latitude 5491, but should have worked in all other aspects. The network connection doesn't seem to work either. I am going to try this on another computer at work and will update, but it appears if it doesn't have compatibility to charge through the USB-C input on the laptop some of the data connections may not work either. If that worked, despite not charging it would have been a fantastic alternative for the money to replace the dell 3.0 4k laptop docks I am currently buying for my office.

Update. Does ok on the 5490s that the rest of my office uses but does fantastic with my wife’s Mac book Pro

Pros: excellent little device that lets unplug and plug back in with ease. does exactly what its designed to

Cons: the device does get a bit warm so not sure how bad that might affect in the long term. in the future i might also get one with more USB ports
