I have only heard 3 from this CD so far, 2 from the band myspace page... "Lazy Dazy", and the title track "Dissonance", which are a nice 1-2 punch to start the album off, and to me they sound like classic EZN guitar driven hard rock with that great harmony they have always been known for. A couple more songs to add to my all time favs, the volume of music they have put out at this point is pretty staggering for a virtually forgot about band. Also heard the song "Altered States" at Donnie's myspace and it sounds pretty good, kinda has the feel of the song "The Beast" I guess would be a good way to describe it (?).
Also read in another review that there is a song called "Rollaway" which is a great song also in the tradition of Enuff Z'Nuff qualtiy, no doubt it is given that they continue to put out great album after great album. 'Welcome To Blue Island' and '?' were pretty decent releases (their last two studio sets).

The addition of Jake E. Lee sounds like a nice pairing, from these two songs it is apparent that he is not there to be this showcase musician to run wild with screeching fills and drawn out solo's, he a nice addition that continues the guitar crunch and hard rock EZN are known for to me. I was however expecting at least a short solo in these two songs perhaps, but they sound fine in the form they are in nonetheless.

It's great that even after all these years, the band continues to put out quality material, and I would expect no less this time around.
Sure wish it was reversed to where Japan had to deal with all these commercial hard rock or perhaps "active rock" bands on the radio today here in the states and WE got to keep Enuff Z'Nuff to ourselves...let's trade!

If you're a fan of Enuff Z'nuff's previous work then you have to get this album. I personally feel that whilst all of EZ's albums contain at least a few good songs, they have had some albums in the past that only had that. Just a few good songs. This album has at least 5 stand out songs, title track, Alterdstates, Lazy Dazy, Fine Line & Playground, however, all the other songs are still worthwhile and not what I'd call filler. And, at this point in time, I have only listened to it 3 or 4 times so... They are such an underdog band. We as fans wish more people would catch on because pound for pound, song for song, they blow many of the top bands of their era, some that are still around churning out garbage, away!

After two sub-par albums, Enuff Z Nuff is back! This not only has Jake E. LEE on guitar and you can tell, but it is worth the import price! I have every one of the albums from this criminally underrated band. The Us thought this was a glam poison rip of band in 90 but they really were much more. Influenced by the Beatles,Cheap Trick, and Elo they are at TOP form here! Fans buy this album and you will be blown away every song is amazing, with the exception of "Chicago", sounds like Kravitz's "Welcome to the picture show", same style artists! This album is heavy and melodic and if you missed Jake, you'll be a happy Camper!

My heroes. Unfortunately billed as "an 80s band", Enuff Z'nuff were and are as brilliant a band as there is. The songwriting skills of Chip and Donnie are second to none, and devout fans like myself rank them with certain other luminaries with names like Lennon and McCartney. This is the band which I, as a musician, would love to be in forever.

This is probably one of their bests since Strength and Animals with Human Intelligence! Wish they got the break and success they deserve back in the day. Donnie Vie is such a great songwriter and singer! Hopefully they keep on rocking! Every song is great on this album.

Well, `Animals' `Tweaked', and `Seven' always remain favorites. Having said this, Dissonance really gets to the nuts of the matter. This work is both thumping and heartfelt. The tracks Dissonance, Fine Line, and Lazy Daisy each capture elements of the band; and do so with a level of power, emotion, and feel seemingly only present intermittently on more recent efforts. High and Altered States get after it, while Joni Lynn and Chicago tap a sensitivity most are too careful to experience. Hell, Dissonance may be in my all time top-10 of slammin' cuts (perhaps because my path mirrors many of DV's trials and tribulations). Yeah, sometimes it all dissolves to nothing but dissonance (though we hide our tears whilst running for the fence).

I recommend this LP to any who want to experience how the up's, down's, and all-around's of life come through when one is sensitive enough to just let it flow. Nice job guys (wish Derek was here to hear it with us).

I've always enjoyed EZ'N, both live and on disc! I'm waiting patiently, as any fan should, for an honest copy of this album at a reasonable price. I rely heavily on "amazon.com" for most of my purchases. I just wish all the best to this band and I'm always surprised and amazed (immensely) with all that they do. Just stop bickering, start reviewing the albums, be thankful for EZ'N, and finally yet importantly, help by keeping exceptional bands like this one alive! (Oh and one more thing, Donnie, rock on!!!)
