“And just to be extra, you have to go and do everything in your power to rid her of the demons of our childhood. Livvie’s right. You really are magic.”
“You are a light in my dark world, and I never even knew how much I needed that light until you appeared.”
Like… WOW… 💯 Olivia & Rowan & Lea & Penny & Jenny are SO my addiction!!!
I swear, this series got better every book— especially considering how high the bar was set with the first one!! But, Helen West certainly delivered again.
A really great book about a relationship between two women, both bearing the scars from the suffering & pain of their pasts, respecting & relishing in the best of this life: the immeasurable joy & serenity of an unconditional & sustaining love in/with/for each other that overcomes, enrinches & endures all.
Really hoping hard it will just be short wait till the next book in the series comes out— Cause I'm absolutely feenin (like BEYOND DESPERATELY CRAVING!!) to catching up on the latest stories, endeavors, journeys & futures of their lives.
Truth be told not much really happens in this installment. It felt more like a set up for a possible powder keg explosion in the next book. There are glimpses of drama when it came to Micki showing up and those scenes were heartbreaking but they ended there. I honestly thought this book would be more focused on that but it wasn't. The focus was really on Rowan and Olivia and PC (is it bad i can't remember the little one's real name...don't judge me).
There is not much drama in this one. If you liked the first one you will enjoy the continuation of the story in this one. Plus this read is a nice read that brings out the romantic in you.
Side note...maybe I missed it but why in the world would anyone be afraid of penguins...was that explained...did I miss it
