I discovered her books many years ago and haven't missed but one or two over all these years. She writes about a family in her series, each book relates to one sibling or relative with the other family members helping their loved one in difficult times in their lives. Several siblings are in law enforcement, private investigaors or an attorney, and each book is full of suspense right up the end of the book.. The loving and close relationships in family, and the love family members have for each other and how we each can experience the grace of God in our lives is uplifting and even though we aren't perfect, we can grow and mature in our relationships with our loved ones during the difficult times in our lives.

The books aren't preachy, but help the reader to see how God can use the valleys in our lives for us to grow and become be even closer together.

A great read each and every time! Thanks Terri!

The story was ok overall, and worth reading (I read all four books in this series) but for some reason the story fell flat with me. Blackstock's writing is good and the story idea was interesting, I just had a hard time connecting with the characters. I liked the "Last Light" series better but don't know why - perhaps because the premise was more interesting because I didn't connect better with the characters in that story either.

Terri Blackstock is one of my favorite authors and this book didn't disappoint!

I was hooked in the opening scene. I kept wondering how this perfect marriage with the perfect family life was not so perfect. I soon found out. I was truly in suspense mode for most of the story and I was surprised by the reality of the characters' situations. I can usually figure out who the "bad" people are early on in books, but Distortion had me guessing a little bit longer.

As always, I love and appreciate that Terri Blackstock doesn't use her books to overly preach with overly used Bible verses. She gets the message out by entwining it into the story without being obnoxious. Terri makes the characters seem more real and I find myself enjoying being part of their world while taking God's words of heart.

I love Terri Blackstock’s work. This one was no exception.

After witnessing her husband’s murder, Juliet faces the horrible reality that her husband of fifteen years was a totally different person than she thought him to be. However, her faith sustained her, and her family rallied around her to help solve the mystery threatening to destroy her and her children.

What I did like: This is a story of faith in the midst of doubt, and trust in the Lord during traumatic devastation. The suspense kept me turning the pages, and I finished it in one day.

What I didn’t like: It does seem impossible that a wife would not see hints of an alternate behavior/lifestyle so active during their fifteen years of marriage.

I loved this book, and I highly recommend “Distortion” to anyone loving suspense and mystery.

3.5 stars. What if your husband wasn't who you thought? The heroine of Distortion finds out secrets about the man she loves when he's murdered before her eyes. Blackstock does a great job of building a suspenseful story. I did find the main character to be a tad weak, but I think that was the point of the story. She had to gather up her courage and face some awful things. Blackstock fans will enjoy for sure.

Loved this book. This was the second book in the series and it was excellent, could not put it down. Other reviewers can share the storyline better than I can, but I will share how refreshing the beginning of the book was. To me, every book in a series spends/wastes to much time rehashing the books before it. Not this time. It had been awhile since I read this first one in this series and I had forgotten what it was about. But Terri Blackstock comes along and weaves key parts into this new story, with just one or two sentences throughout the book, to bring it altogether. It was just a natural flow. Love the way she wrote this and I can't wait for the next book.

It was a little hard to follow the characters at first since I couldn't remember exactly who was who but I did let that go after finding my self I
immersed in the character's trials & tribulations. It would be good, at the beginning of the book, to have a list of who the characters are & how they relate to each book, a reminder. The last 8-10 chapters had my heart pounding, my mind turning & my eyes reading faster & faster to see what would happen next. Ms. Blackstock is gifted writer. I'm blessed to have this wonderful alternative to the secular sex-saturated, foul-mouthed mysteries out in the literary world today

I had read quite a few of her books back fifteen or so years ago and loved them then, but since I've gone to ereaders, I just haven't been able to get any of them. Then a few days I ago noticed this one on sale and grabbed it and fell in love all over again!!! I love the Christian aspect of her books and the dedication is always to the "Nazarene"!!!! The main characters are good and moral and mostly love The Lord. I, personally, don't feel that it is over the top; but just part of their lives. I greatly admire the author and her ability to make real characters that you connect with!!!! Give her a try!!!!

Very intense story and kept my attention. It made me very sad too, as I had just lost my beloved husband about the same time as I received this book. At least I didn't have to wonder about what my husband had gotten into. My heart went out to the widow in this story.
