The first story is about Ruby who is in college when she meets Reed and Brent who are on her brother's baseball team. This is my first book by D.F. Jones and I found it to be well-written and enjoyable reminding me of the time when I was young and what it was like. I loved the supernatural element which I actually was not expecting, but it played out quite well. D.F. Jones' descriptions of the area are wonderful and clear. This book was highly entertaining, and I am looking forward to the next book.
The next is about Anna, her ability to heal, her romance with Jerry, and her friendships with Ruby and Sandy. This is a wonderful sequel and so far I have been thrilled with the romance, friendships and the supernatural. DF Jones has a way of writing that puts you right in the action and you will find your heart quicken. The fight between good and evil continues. The twists and turns will keep you wondering. And there was no way that I could put this book down. I totally recommend these books and am looking forward to reading the last book.
This is the last installment of the Ditch Lane Diaries and I thought it was the perfect finish to the three stories that I just loved. The battle scenes were very well done and you really feel part of the action. Each of these books make me love the stories more and more. I get so involved with DF Jones' writing that I'm either laughing out loud, or my heart is in my throat! This was an exciting finish to the series and it was wonderfully done. This story especially kept me up late reading, and I am sorry to see it end, but what an epic ending. What a terrific series.
I read each of the books in the trilogy and loved each and every one. Now they are bound together in one volume; for those who have not read these wonderful stories, you REALLY must. I read the ARC copy while I was waiting for today, "Release Day" and my purchased copy to arrived.
Ruby's Choice opens the story, introducing the three main characters, Ruby, Anna, and Sandy. While spelunking in a cave in Campbell Hill they discover a story painting on the wall and artifact left for the Chosen in each generation to find.
I will not spoil these stories for you, needless to say, as each story develops the girls and the "gifts" bestowed upon each of the girls also develops.
The last story in this Collection a battle in the war between Good and Evil comes to fruition and there a losses on both sides.
This Collection made me feel angry, happy and above all safe in the knowledge that the Creator and His Angels are and will always "be there for each and every one of us.
If you do not believe in GOD or Angels you will still enjoy this collection of stories. The story line is well written and very well developed. The characters are so well developed that you feel as if they are your friends.
Read and I know you will enjoy!!
I found this story to be well written and full of reminders of growing up in a much different time. The girls, Ruby Jane, Anna and Sandy, are so well developed that I felt like they could have been some of my friends. Even though I am a few years young than the girls in this book I remember so may things about going to school in the 70's. I recommend this book to any one who wants to relive some of their memories of when life was good and you did not need to lock your doors.
I loved this book as much if not more than Ruby's Choice. This series just gets better and better.
If you believe in Angels, God, and the eternal battle between good and evil than you need to read this series. Ms Jones is truly a gifted writer that made me think and remember. I can't wait for the next book in this series.
D.F. Jones does it again. I loved this story and boy did it make me think. I love how you get to know Sandy more in this book. This book for me was more suspenseful and the mystery about Sandy's Guardian Angel questions I had were satisfied. I highly recommend this read.
I knew without a shadow of a doubt, that Sandy's story would be my favorite in the series! I was not let down! Sandy was an amazing, funny, sassy, demon ass kicking heroine. I promise you, you're going to fall so hard for Baldric. There was constantly something happening so I didn't get bored for a second. The storyline was creative and unique. I did cry at the end, though I won't say why, the author gave me more than I hoped for and made it all okay. Seriously awesome series and one of a kind!
