This is probably the best waterproof player on the market. I have tried about 5 other types, including Speedo and Apple. Speedo is is more than twice as expensive and has no added features. Further, I have had 3 Speedo MP3s - they all stopped working after less than a year.
This player is great. It takes a little while to figure out the up/down navigation through files but the display is a great asset. The first Diver I bought had a defective hard drive. I received immediate e-mail response from the Diver site (by email) and they shipped me a new device for free virtually overnight. Way to go!
I can't wait for my next workout.
Of course, I will recommend the player to everyone asking me about my stroke and to the members of the team I coach.
LCD screen: I love having a screen to help me navigate through my music and the menus that are included in this mp3 player. Not many waterproof mp3 players have this neat feature! I’ll include some pictures to show all the information that is displayed.
Music Player: Includes the standard music playing options that are included in most mp3 players on the market (shuffle, repeat, play folder, equalizer). The last swimming mp3 player I used did not include these features so it’s really nice to be able to shuffle my library and get a different mix of music every workout! The 4GB storage is generous as well, it can store 800-1000 songs!
Radio: The quality of the radio signal is surprisingly good! You can get a signal up to like a 2-3ft depth, so swimming laps on the surface of the water is no problem. If you dive down into the water, you will temporarily get static, but as soon as you surface, it comes right back.
Pedometer: Chances are you, like me, bought this for the swimming features. Surprisingly the pedometer function is pretty good! I just took a 10 min walk with it in my pocket and compared the results to my fitbit charge HR (which ill use as a control because it’s very accurate with steps and calories).
Fitbit ChargeHR: 848 steps, 0.38mi, 54 calories
Diver mp3 player: 830 steps, 0.48mi, 62 calories

It was easy to download music onto it from your own library or from iTunes as it works exactly like a drive on your computer. Simply drag and drop. I have downloaded several hours worth of music and there is still room to spare. The earphones are comfortable and hook around the ear, keeping them firmly in place. I have even accidentally dropped the mp3 player into the water without the headphones, leaving the port exposed, and the player remained undamaged and worked perfectly. I like how the player clips easily and safely onto my bathing suit and doesn't get in the way when I swim or waterjog.
For swimming, I don't need many features, but even so, they are there if needed. I can listen to FM radio, there is a sleep feature, a lap counter, repeat or skip a song, and easily adjust the volume. As far as holding a charge, this definitely does the job. I swim for 90 minutes at a time and charge it after the 3rd or 4th visit to the pool. And it has yet to run out of a charge.Read more ›

The player worked great the first day. I used it on three swims. On my second workout, the left earbud would go in and out and I'd have to dry it out for it to play properly. Read morePublished 2 hours ago by fmn621
I love this mp3 player! It has made lap swimming so much more enjoyable.
