A private investigator wouldn't go inside a club without evidence that someone or themselves knowing that these people have any knowledge of the missing person. However, she goes into the club and automatically knows the gang in VIP has knowledge of her target.
The VIP section was like teens swooning over 40 yr old men cause they're just so hot!
The ideal of a respectable business man shopping at a gothic punk store to buy clothes for her is ridiculous. The writer couldn't connect middle age characters to a young teen lifestyle to make this story work. I pictured daddy hanging around high school girls, shopping for them and then escorting them at the club! It did nothing for me!
Witchcraft is talked a lot in this story, but isn't there something about males who have the skill called Warlock? This story shares nothing of this but other junk.
Then we find out that she has POWER not powers cause that is the wrong spelling, but she can heal, bring the dead back, read minds, and wish harm on someone??
There is so much more of this story that I skipped some due to the fact it was just so unbelievable. Even for a fantasy I just couldn't imagine her going to her old buddy Jerry the cop, who once was like a father to her, and tell them their story. It was like okay just throw that in there and hopefully make it believable for the next ridiculous ride!
They wanted no one to know of there POWER fear that they would be used as science experiments. But with two dead bodies on their hands, they go spill their BS to Jerry. Who then automatically believes her without turning her into some National Security for Homeland. We already read how five members took advantage of their POWER to torture and inflict pain but then Jerry just takes their statement and hauls the bad guys away.
If she was able to bring back her boyfriend from the dead why not Kevin??
The story at that point shifts into gear another direction to a more painful one for me to read any further!!!
This writer should get an editor maybe then they can guide you to a wonderful book.
Great ideals about the general ideal but your execution was horrific!
This steady to fast paced plot keeps readers shivering in anticipation with suspense, magic and passion. The author describes the story with well written words and details that capture the imagination and the fascinating magical world draws the readers deeper into the story. The characters are strong, compelling characters grab the reader’s attention and the well orchestrated suspense ensures that the reader can’t put the book down until they read every word.
The attraction Vittorio and Elena burns hot enough to scorch the coven, but the relationship puts them both in danger as Elena’s unknown powers erupt. The reader can’t help but get caught up in their story as Elena first has to come to terms with the fact that magic exists and then betrayal as enemies want to use her powers by threatening everyone around her. There is a lot of emotional turmoil in the story that adds depth to the story which along with the believable action scenes makes the reader feel as if they are part of the story.
Spine tingling tension builds as the danger escalates and their enemies true intentions become known but that’s not where all the excitement comes from, their personal life, figuring out who they can trust and trying to figure out what direction they should take in their future also plays a huge part in the story along with the original investigation ensures there is never a dull moment. I found the story to be enjoyable and the world intriguing with captivating characters and I can’t wait to read the next story in Elena’s life.
