"[Divided We Fall] raises interesting questions about the influence of propaganda on the construction of the self, the idea of true tabula rasa and the power of memory ... The central love story propels the narrative energetically." - Publishers Weekly
"There are few novels I can read in one sitting, but Adam Bender's Divided We Fall was one of them. It is fast-paced, intriguing, and had me wondering what was coming just around the corner. It had me not only wanting, but needing more." - Readers' Favorite
From the Author
My new novel is a call for unity asking different sides of the surveillance issue to come together without arrogance and work on a solution that keeps citizens safe without deception and without infringement on personal privacy.
Writing this book was a long labor of love. It was crafted in the late hours after the work day and in spare moments of the weekend. But in my mind I was working on it always, inspired by news about government surveillance and my day job at the time reporting on the U.S. Congress.
This novel brings to an end the journey that Seven began in my first novel, We, The Watched. However, newcomers can certainly jump on with Divided We Fall and then read We, The Watched later to get the hero's origin story.
