They're filled with joy at their first pregnancy and the uncanny return of their mysterious friend Dee. But Jason is tormented by Fear continually whispering nightmares and horrific visions into his mind. All of this I could forgive if the movie was well written... if the actors could make the characters mean something to the viewer... if the cover art wasn't the best special effect in the movie.... but it was very low budget and it all feels like a student project. A student project that got a solid B... maybe even an A depending on the college... but a student project nonetheless.
If you already believe in Christ, ghosts, and evil witches, then this movie's moral stick may scratch an itch whose relief overcomes everything else and you will enjoy it... go for it... scratch away. Otherwise, it fails at its main point... which seems to be to spread the message of a version of Christianity... it fails at being a character driven story, and it fails at being a solid enjoyable brain off movie. If you are Wiccan or pagan, you might want to watch this movie just as a reminder of how much Jack Chick there still is out in the world. At least Jack got the satanic pentagrams right from time to time.
Otherwise, I can solidly recommend you go watch The Prophecy (1995) and skip this one.
The plot itself is a great good vs evil of the invisible realm, of demons and angles! If you can watch a movie and see past the inadequate special effects and incomplete editing to watch the movie for the heart of the matter/ the underlying reason, than watch this movie. If you cannot, then will hate this movie
