30 homes are featured in The Divine Home: Living with Spiritual Objects. The book is large and heavy and filled with Peter Vitale's luscious photography. While the photographs are breathtaking, the text tells the owner's stories and is quite interesting.

Most of the objects featured are of museum quality--but unlike a museum, the viewer gets to see the art within the context of a real home. As a designer, my favorite aspect of the book is seeing the way the art is displayed in the rooms. If you collect art, I would recommend this book for that feature alone.

Vitale features homes from super lavish in Texas to spare and contemporary in New York.

The Divine Home is a visual delight. Highly recommend.

It is so nice a refreshing to see such a quality interiors book with such high quality photographs by one photographer with a clear vision. The book is so well designed and is a must for all libraries. In addition to being a monograph by a very talented photographer, who's work you see in all the best design magazines, it is a book about collectors with a passion for objects that are displyed in beautiful homes. Buy it!

Beautiful book, from cover to cover. I've been waiting for this kind of publication for some time because I also collect religious and spiritual artifacts. I was amazed by the quality and variety of the art showed. The homes were beautiful and text were great but what impressed the most was the the way they have been displayed. I was surprised though to learn that most of the owners are not religious at all. I own a very small collection compared with the ones showed but they have a meaning of past experiences. But they love and respect the objects they own and this is good enough for me. Congratulations to Vitale and publishers for a beautiful and honest book.

This book came with glowing review and I was not disappointed. Glorious photographs of interiors around the world where religious art fills every nook and cranny. Collectors have filled rooms with objects from humble to extremely expensive. If I had a criticism it would be that the book tends toward too much South American and not enough European, Asian or African.

I always thought I was a little odd with my love of spiritual objects such as statues and crucifixes and wanting them in my home, thanks to this book, I am delighted to say I am not the only one with this artistic inclination! Peter Vitale's beautiful color photographs illustrate how stunningly beautiful these religious artifacts are, whether they be in a place of worship or a residence!! Looking at the photographs and reading about the lovely collections the owners have amassed over the years reaffirms that love of beauty is quite beyond religious denomination and that beauty illustrates a small quantity of "The Divine Spark". A divinely beautiful book that will not fail to inspire!!!

We love the southwest look in our home, but certainly do not want to have it overwhelmed with tschokies.. This is the perfect book to learn more about the pieces you might be interested in collecting. I've read this over and over again dreaming about where each item would fit in our decor!

Lush photography, varied collections and every imaginable setting. As a decorating book, it is a wonder with even small details stimulating the imagination. Also close to textbook quality in how to live with art and collectibles.

This book is beautifully done and shows art from Christianity and other religions used in home decorating. My specialty is in Christian Art and through this book I have learned more than from any other place or literature.
