Purchase options and add-ons
Elizabeth Grace Saunders, internationally recognized time management expert, has helped everyone from busy moms to small business owners to corporate clients reorder their lives for success. She knows there are endless apps, books, and useful methods for becoming self-disciplined, organized, and more successful, but these tools alone aren't enough to provide true freedom from the stress of how to best manage time.
Yet when Elizabeth's longtime faith intersected with her work, it unlocked the power of Divine Time Management. After a season of unusually high stress, where traditional time management methods fell short, she found a transformative sense of peace by surrendering her plans to God. Pursuing God's wisdom in time management, Elizabeth discovered that by trusting Him she could achieve the happy, prosperous, confident life He lovingly planned for her. Now she shares how you can find purpose, joy, and the peace that comes from letting God guide your actions.
Divine Time Management offers you: a path to deeper intimacy with God centered on trust in Him; an understanding of what God wants for your life, to inform how you set priorities; biblical and personal encouragement to embrace your God-given desires; effective ways to faithfully navigate major decisions; and proven time-saving methods.
God delights in His children experiencing His best. Divine Time Management will help you align your life with God's best for you, for lasting joy with Christ at the center of your world.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2017First things first: As a picky reader who sets (extremely) high standards by which he passes—or fails—the books that he reads, this new book by Elizabeth Grace Saunders (entitled "Divine Time Management") passes, and does so with flying colors. As the author aptly notes, "Time is a precious gift. When you invest it well, it's marked with meaning and unforgettable moments of joy." But when we feel rushed and overwhelmed, the same joy can turn into an empty bauble. What do you do then?
My suggestion: Read this book.
"Divine Time Management" has many of the ingredients—altogether missing in most other books on time management—which will help you with handling exactly that distressing situation (i.e. what to do when you "feel rushed and overwhelmed") and many others as well. As I read it, I was pleased to find answers to deep questions, including the one I just mentioned.
Other sections of "Divine Time Management" that I found to be especially helpful—and I'll list a tiny handful of those here—include the following:
- The Wrong Goals for Time Management (That Seem So Right).
- Why We Need to Live from Identity Not for Identity
- Real Connections with Real People
- Not Controlling Your Life, Loving Your Life
I have also covered the author's (earlier) work on my blog (Programming Digressions) over the years, and look forward to doing the same for this newest addition to that work as well!
I'll be rereading "Divine Time Management" for sure. Meanwhile, I am convinced that it's a winner. My biggest takeaway from reading the author's work over the years—leading up to and including "Divine Time Management"—is that time is a truly precious gift. Probably the "most" precious gift we have. Invest it well for a richer, more satisfying life.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2017Elizabeth Saunders has written a powerful book. For absolutely anyone who has struggled with time management or controlling every last detail of their lives, this book is the beginning of a true fix to honor God. He is the center, the compass, the peace in the middle of the chaos, and too often we don’t let Him guide our life.
This book is packed with all the right stuff: Advice and exercises, yes. Bible verses; she works with scripture so beautifully. But also personal experiences, where Elizabeth owns up to her own faults and failures in something she’s literally spent years coaching. She’s wearing her heart on her sleeve here, letting go, and practicing what she’s preaching to readers.
I also want to emphasize that, even though you may not think you need a book on time management, you probably do. Time management is about so much more than how to fit everything in, as I have come to find out with this book. I loved Elizabeth’s perspective on living from your identity, guarding your heart in certain relationships, and just flat-out keeping up an honest conversation with God about your fears, frustrations and gratitude. This will help you understand your priorities and live authentically, by God’s will and for His glory.
This book is a blessing for any Christian, or anyone who wants to see what freedom and trust looks like from a Christian perspective—and it’s not just a one-time read. I will definitely be referencing it again and again, whenever I feel out of alignment with God’s will for my life.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2018We live in a “better” world, in where we feel we have to also try to do better. Be a better mother, father, sister, brother, employee, boss, look better, exercise better, clean better, and be a better Christian. Always compulsively working hard and long hours to live in a “better” world can be exhausting and we lose our true purpose. Elizabeth brings God’s world into her book Divine Time Management. She helps the reader to shift their focus on God’s purpose and plan for their lives helping to relieve them of pressure, exhaustion and confusion. Elizabeth’s style of writing is very Christ like where you feel she is right there with you, speaking uplifting words to you and reminding you that you belong to God, and not to the world. Reading Divine Time Management was an eye opener for me on a Bible verse I heard most my life. Elizabeth’s explanation of the verse opened a door of revelation! The meaning of the verse wasn’t changed just my understanding and Wow! After this and reading the rest of the book I was able to manage my time much better, it just came naturally without trying and with much more joy! Divine Time Management is a great read for wherever a person is in their walk with God and will bring peace and joy to your soul!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2021This was not what I expected but I am thankful for the blessings its unique perspective it offered. I t doesn’t offer a formula for time management, rather a way of biblical living.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2022I’m just past the miss of the book, but even if the remainder is a flop, I still give 5 stars! The book is right on time & pouring God’s beauty into my being. So thankful! I love the connections the author makes with our identity, purpose & time. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I am!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2018The intriguing title caught my attention so I bit and bought the kindle version of this book. I have not read the author's other books. That said, Elizabeth looks at time management through a spiritual lens to ask the question am I doing the right thing, i.e. is this what God wants me to do, as opposed to am I doing things efficiently and effectively. Clearly Elizabeth comes from a "born-again" faith perspective but I did not find it overwhelming. In fact, I found it challenging to answer questions raised, phrased from that perspective. Also intriguing is her willingness to listen to her body in coming to decisions about what she should do. I was inspired by the sections about doing less and taking care of oneself in the ongoing daily grind to get things done. In summary I was very pleasantly surprised.
