I used the Blynk app to control this board from my android phone, You'll have to choose the ESP8266 standalone code example to program and control this board with Blynk app. In the section of the code you have to put your network name, password and the authentication token sent from the Blynk app. Then compile and load the code and set up your buttons to control the onboard leds from the Blynk app to test.
Now you can set up whatever you want to be controlled from the app with the outputs on the board! The Wemos operates on 3 volts so don't feed it 5 volts! Get a few logic level convertors when you pick this up so you can use it with 5 volts. I received this at discount for review and project demo.
