I initially bought the DO YOUR GIN infusion kit as a gift for a BBQ party. The box comes with a very beautiful package wrap with lithographic illustrations of spice plants printed on. That and also the large dimensions of the box make a very nice gift. When opening the box you face 12 vividly colorful spices that are packaged nicely in glass cylinders and closed with natural cork stoppers and then elegantly sealed with a high quality paper label. On the right side of the kit are 1 funnel and 2 bottles. The bottles come with labels to document the individual recipes, date and signature for the batch. I love the packaging already, everything looks very high quality.
The reason I got the kit for myself is, the home made Gin is incredible! I can literally taste every single spice that I used during the process, my senses were completely overwhelmed – not to compare to any Gin that I bought off the shelf. Included in the gin are three recipes (The Spirited, The Traditional, The Colorful) and detailed information of the botanicals, about their origin and their aroma. I was perfectly guided through the process and there was enough room to express my own preferred taste by getting creative and experimenting with variations. The juniper lasts for 2-3 Gins depending, the other botanicals last for 5-10 Gins.
Oh, and the kit also includes a post card with 4 cocktail recipes (Bramble, Gin Fizz, French 75, Vesper). Not did I only learn about craft Gin making, I got introduced to two new Gin cocktails. Yay! Will buy again!

The kit came in its own box, inside the Amazon box. Perfect for giving as a gift! The packaging of the spices is super pretty and everything is clearly labeled. Based on the instructions and supplies you can make at least two bottles of gin. If you get extra juniper berries you can make even more because there are plenty of botanicals and spices in the kit. Each spice was labeled with a best-by date of May 2023 and they smelled really good and fresh, just like stuff I buy at Penzey's. My girlfriend bought me the "Do Your Gin" home gin making kit as a surprise and it's a great gift. The packaging looks cool and professional and kit contains good quality components. I already made my first batch following one of their suggested recipes - 'the colorful'. It was pretty easy process and only took a couple minutes to mix up first the alcohol plus juniper berries and then next day the different additives. The result was a tasty unique gin - I especially enjoyed the pop of cardamom flavor. We are looking forward to trying the other recipes as well as our own twists. All and all very happy with this fun gift.

Das Produkt ist maßlos überteuert. Erstens wird das Produkt nicht so verschickt wie in der Artikelbeschreibung abgebildet. Vielmehr kommt alles unsortiert in einem Karton. Was bekommt man für 50€? 2 leere Glasflaschen, 12 Gewürze, 2 Papierfilter, einen Trichter, eine bunte Karte mit Cocktail Rezepten, 5 Karten mit Informationen zu den Gewürzen (Eig. ist ea nur eine Karte, da die gleiche Karte 5 mal in anderen Sprachen beiliegt). Das schlimme, finde ich, ist das man mit dem Set noch keinen Gin machen kann, weil kein Alkohol dabei ist. Wären die beiden Flaschen voll mit Alkohol gewesen, hätte ich den Preis einiger Maßen ok gefunden, aber so bezahlt man viel zu viel. Vorschlag: Geht in den Supermarkt, kauft euch verschiedene Gewürze und versucht es selbst.
