Since you can't see it in the small picture, I will write the small text they have below the poster, it's cute:
"Printed by the MOD Ministry of Defense Room 73, Public Relations Office, Fillongley Warks. Test Print awaiting approval,Not for public display until further notice."
At first I thought it was a defect thing (I missed the MOD Defense bit) but my Mom pointed it out and it's just to make the poster more authentic looking (In the episode the poster is shown, *small spoiler alert* Winston Churchill obviously hadn't released the Daleks nor the posters at the time).
This is a great poster for any Doctor Who fan, and really unique and different. It has the vintage WWII graphic look down. Plus, for a poster of this size, it's a FANTASTIC price!!
My Mom even wants to buy one for herself!
The image on the poster itself is of course awesome, I just wish it had arrived in better condition.
So Poster Revolution did resolve the problem, and as the poster is very cool and the review is mostly about the poster I have to raise it to 4 stars. But I still believe that the packaging material has issues. There are tiny ridges in the cardboard that will be the first to bend if put under pressure. I paid the same shipping for the poster and another Doctor Who poster which shipped from England. That one came in a tube undamaged. I suppose it could happen to any shipment, but the cardboard seems weaker than the tube.
I like the little *nudge-nudge-gigglesnort* the designer did with the inclusion of the text at the bottom.
The first one I was sent by the seller actually arrived damaged (USPS said it was damaged when they received it to send to me), the tube being bent and resulting in a poster I couldn't bring myself to display as I like to fancy myself a collector. I was immediately sent a replacement in a rolled tube as I'd requested (the first was a triangular one which is not as sturdy as the rolled ones) and everything was great. Very good customer service!
I busted out laughing when I saw this WWII Dalek poster and had to have it.
My only surprise is it's printed on glossy paper; I was expecting matte stock, which might have been more in keeping with the WWII time frame.
I ordered the unframed poster, and it arrived in perfect condition from Poster Revolution, rolled up inside a triangular cardboard tube package, with a sizable piece of brown protective paper wrapped around the poster.
At any rate, this is a nifty decoration for Doctor Who fans and a bargain at the price. You also don't need a sonic screwdriver to hang it!
There is text written on the bottom of this poster, seemingly a joke to make the print look more real (as though it was printed during an actual invasion/takeover by the Daleks, as it has happened during the Doctor Who series).
The Text is as follows, and appears against a white background that takes up approx 2 inches across the bottom of the poster. "Printed by the MOD Ministry of Defense Room 73, Public Relations Office, Fillongley Warks. Test Print awaiting approval,Not for public display until further notice."
