Although the writing is wordy and occasionally repetitious, it is also casual and humorous. Each chapter ends with a motivational quote reflecting the author's philosophical approach to the care and training of dogs. Best dog training book I have found. It might be a bit old-school for some people. I am happy with the results. We now have a well trained one year old cattle dog who is fun to be around.
