According to the saying, every dog has its day, meaning that everyone gets a chance during some period a time. From the presidential candidates, to the paid assassins and accidental killers, everyone in this book is playing with chance and luck, more or less successfully. Like everyone in life, but at the high-end of politics, life has a different price and the survival charges are significantly different. Two life-long billionaire friends decide to pay $10 million to an ex-Marine to eliminate the Republican candidate, considered too clumsy and trouble-makers to win the elections against Clayton.
Regardless of the political choices, the book is well written, page-turner and meticulously researched. Clayton sounds even more credible and articulated than the candidate it - probably - emulates. The dialogues are smart, the action is well crafted and the entire story and discussions sound authentic.
For my own reasons, I preferred to read the book at the end of the electoral campaign, assuming that it is a good book, regardless of what is happening and the results, it should remain a good read, and in this case, my choice proved to be right. It resists the test of time, which is a good indicator of the quality.

of laws and there was so much corruption and law breaking going on between Hilliary Clinton and Obama. Anyone who is for allowing babies to be murdered, lies to the Bengazi families, breaks the law and so much more does not get indicted because things were set up for no indictment is absolutely disgusting. No justice gets served for the American families who lost a child murdered by an illegal immigrant. I am a mother of two children and watch all channels on TV and listen with an open mind to both sides. I have watched Obama and Hillary lie so much and act like they are so honest and are for familiies. The liberal media are hiding and deleting stuff out when showing coverage on the local channels which is horrible. I voted for Obama twice because I was asked to through hearsay and did not know a thing about politics. I became educated about what was and is going on and what an embarrassing mistake I made. Inspite that I do not like Obama or Hillary I would not thrive on someone plotting to murder them. My family and I have better morals than that.
From its larger than life premise, through the killer's fascinating journey, to its spell-binding conclusion, this book will keep you turning pages. Mr Peters is adept at rapid storytelling and eyebrow-raising twists, while maintaining the credibility that is essential for political thrillers.
If there is a drawback to this book, it would have to be that the supporting characters' names can be a bit tongue-in-cheek, which puts a smile on your face but also subtly detracts from the book's immersive potential. Kinsey Macmaham, really!
I sure hope no conservative republican billionaires read this book!
