Each question is referenced by number to a corresponding paragraph of each constitution, so by reading the questions first, my attention is directed to specific important points that I should be looking for as I read that portion of the constitution. Sometimes I read a portion of the constitution first then test myself with the questions to see if I got the major points, or, sometimes I just pick the book up and randomly test myself on material read previously.
If you want the challenge and satisfaction of reading the actual texts, instead of just reading books about Vatican II documents, but you're afraid they will be "too deep or too dry", this book by Rev. John Arthur Orr makes the task both attainable and enjoyable. This is an indispensible and highly recommended book for achieving one of the goals for The Year of Faith
