I found this to be an adorable book. Even if you don't want to draw, just looking through this title will make you smile. Some of the many dogs included are the Old English Sheepdog, the English Springer Spaniel (my dog growing up!), the Golden Retriever Puppy. The Pembroke Welsh Cori and the Dalmatian. Each breed gets a fun fact on their page. There are also activities like the Dinner Time Maze, and the Pup Poop activity, among others. And, of course, there are instructions on everything from the tools and materials needed, to the how to steps. The book even includes tracing paper and sketch pages.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title in exchange for an honest review. This would be a nice book to bet for a young art loving dog admiring child that you know.

For the young artist in your life who also loves puppies

This book contains three different styles so that no matter which way a child is most comfortable (tracing, grid, step-by-step) there is an option for several breeds that they can work on. There are also other fun filled projects (mazes, etc) for the young dog lover in your life to enjoy. Overall, my only "improvement" would be if they offered more than one of the three drawing styles for a breed, so that a child could see how to transition between the two as their skill levels improve.

This is a wonderful tutorial book for dog lovers and artists of all ages!

The tutorials are well layed out and easy to follow. This book is not only perfect for beginners and dog lovers but I feel adults and children would love it as well. As I said above this book has a universal appeal for all ages. If you love dogs you will love this book!

This is truly a fun and inspirational book and as a dog lover I am in heaven! I would absolutely buy this book as a gift and I highly recommend it.

This book broke down drawing dogs into simple shapes. I found there to be many helpful drawing exercises to improve my skills. I enjoyed the “fun facts” throughout the book. There were a lot of good tips on features of different dog breeds to help you with your own drawings.

I think kids might enjoy the word search, mazes, and other activities in the book. I wasn’t expecting it.
