A Dollar Outta Fifteen Cents IV is back with a fierceness defined by the characteristics that reeled Ms. McGill's fan base in at the onset of #1. Love, life, loyalty, even laughter and some of the most enchanting personalities you'll ever read about. Ms. McGill does an outstanding job with her latest and greatest masterpiece. The progression from #3 to #4 was swift, precise and well defined which only heightened my curiosity to delve into the development of this new storyline. In #4 we discover if what Jay and Portia have is real...if it's strong enough to withstand life's hellacious blows. Will his gangsta keep him in the streets one time too many? Will Portia's stubborn trait cost her family happiness as well as peace for her life? Will Cas continue to be Laila's saving grace? Will Jay and Cas' past transgressions come back to haunt them as karma or will they be able to outwit the gruesome grim reaper? Will Fatima find love again or fall victim to being a lonesome lady and always the third wheel? These few questions are only surface scrapers for this intense, intriguing and magnetic tale! I've rode with Ms. McGill through this entire series and I have to voice my opinion that #4 was just as wonderful as #1! The charisma of the characters with their growth is evident as well as pleasing and the spiritual undertone riddled throughout the storyline was splendid and unique! I loved everything about this book from beginning to the very end of which I was very melancholic. I felt as if I'd attending a family reunion and the weekend was over with everyone going their separate ways again. Until the next family reunion...Ms. McGill...I tilt my pen, my paper, and I'll even click my heels for this one! Magnificente Mamacita! Kudo's for another legendary classic with your exclusive style attached to it! It was well worth the wait! Again, Kudo's to you!
I did notice a few errors in the book but not much: On Page 315 Portia and Fatima was headed to L.A. The pilot didn't mind taking them but he called Jay and Cas anyway just to make sure it was okay for him to take them. When he called them they both told him to it was okay for them to go.
Now, in paragraph 6 Its says,"When they got the call neither of them objected. They both just wondered what Portia and Fatima was up to. Especially Jay."
But in paragraph 8 it says," Fatima didn't tell Portia, but she called Jay and Cas that night. She talked to them and told them she and Portia were going to L.A. to confront Callie for stealing her sh**. At first, they'd insisted on sending someone with them, so they would be okay."
Now why would Jay and Cas wonder what they were up to when Fatima had already Called them that night and told them why they were going to L.A. Jay already know that Fatima is Portia's best friend. If any of them had beef they all had beef( Portia, Laila, Fatima and Simone).
Another thing I had to keep reminding my self was; In these books Ms. Caroline uses the word 'tight' as being upset, hurt and or just pissed off.
Were I'm from, the word "tight" is used as being good: for in-stints A friend comes to you and says," Lets go holla at yo boy for some of that kush." The friend says," Naw man, I'm tight on that. I just got done doing a bid for it and I'm not trying to go back."
At first I said to myself," why is he saying he's tight after he just said he was hurt and bout ready to shed a tear." So when I see that word I replace it with my own.
Other than that the book is really good.
Portia, a stripper is tired of working the poles when she can be making money using her education. This decision is made after her chasing a dollar make her do a scandalous act against someone very close to her. Laila is happily married with 2 adorable little girls that is until she discover some things about her husband that really test their vows. Simone is in love and pregnant to the perfect man except he is married and has dark secret that will destroy his life as well as those involved with him. Fatima has a bit of wild side to her working in the industry but when she meet Wise all of that is about to change or will it all change. Caroline is so talented that I just could not put these books down, there's four in the series that is out and when I tell you that you cease to read anything else while you are reading these books I tell you no lie. I am hooked on reading anything that this young lady have written. Each book pull you in even harder with the twist and turns that are taken. If you haven't red them yet get them and read them back to back. PAGE TURNERS. 5*

Part 4 started off where 3 ended. Now we know what happened to those guns and I'm glad Wise is back! I love that Portia took Jaylin in as her own and Laila is walking again! And then to add Jayquan and Macy to the drama... GENIUS!!!
At the end of this book, I was turning the page hoping there would be more pages! YES it's that's good! This is series is like my favorite reality show! I cannot wait to start reading 4.5!! Ms. Caroline YOU DID IT AGAIN! THANK YOU!!
