This is a collection of personal essays and stories of how each contributing communicator was introduced into the dolphin/whale world. Because there are so many variations in writing styles, I found that I had to read each chapter and mull over the contents. Normally, I am a fast reader but this took a while for me to read and digest. All of the writers were jolted out of their “normal” lives and catapulted into extraordinary realms. If you are drawn to this book, you will find it packs a wallop in terms of wisdom and perhaps will resonate with your own beliefs and lifestyle. Most of the contributions are personal and feel genuine although I found a few that came across more like commercials for the authors’ whale or dolphin watching trips. Unless your mind is completely closed, you cannot help but be deeply impressed by these individual exploits, messages, and life journeys. This book is definitely a collective of voices for the whales and dolphins of our planet.

The stories being told here are all unique and fascinating, yet they also all share a common thread about the amazing way dolphins and whales changed each person’s life forever. I know this was true for me after experiencing what swimming with wild dolphins was like in Bimini, The Bahamas, back in 2009.
