About the Author

For the last few decades, Naseem has circumnavigated the globe and made his mark as a name identity expert. Born in Delhi, raised in Karachi, he has spent the last 40 years living in Canada. Thirty years ago, Naseem founded ABC Namebank based in Toronto and New York. This small specialized consultancy on corporate nomenclature and brand architecture offers thought leadership and provides answers on how these names directly impact the success and failure of organizations on the global scenes. Naseem, some twenty years ago, has also authored an influential book, Naming for Power, during last many years delivered some 100 key notes, and written hundreds of articles. Naseem directs corporate teams in this naming process; he has personally created names for his clients that when combined pull tens of billions of dollars in annual revenues; he is recognized as a world authority on global naming and corporate nomenclature issues. He worked as marketing consultant on the 1976 Montreal Summer Olympics. Today, he works exclusively on global corporate nomenclature issues, leaving designing work to other brilliant agencies. Unless he is on a podium, somewhere around the world, Naseem is helping organizations achieve better understanding of global naming complexities and acquire higher visibility.

The only book I found on the market on gTLD naming issues... it offers fresh knowledge on the changing world of the domain names. The multi-faceted complexities of ICANN gTLDs are presented in a straightforward manner, with a heavy emphasis on the importance of good naming. The author's extensive knowledge and experience in global naming is highly noticeable. Cutting edge ideas and methodologies are boldly analyzed. The book is a great tool for new age executives anywhere around the world engaged with national or global image and market domination issues. This was a very original and refreshing read.

This book has given me a window into the mind of a man's vision of the future landscape of a new digital world.

I have learned of a coming war, a new war, a war of words on a new frontier reminiscent of the wild west of America where the greatest winners are those that stake their claims early on the cyber landscape, for those with vision.

A place where one letter can create supreme greatness or ultimate failure. A place where words like "Glocalisation", "Nomenclature" and "Money Tree's" are common place.

This book gives a window into the complex thinking of a man who has dedicated his life like a specialist surgeon, to naming complexities and their implications for an ever more local, global era of humanity.

Naseem refers to phrases like "global touch" and "local reach" to identify the "one world" mantra that the expansion of the gTLD industry will create.

With an air of frustration Naseem painstakingly and systematically dissects what to him appears to be sheer common sense about how this very complex name game needs to be played.

To some he would appear to be a mad scientist, a dreamer, a man ahead of his time with an extraordinary vocabulary of dynamic words which he uses to describe a new future.

NOW is Naseem's time on the global stage and in this book you get the feeling that he knows it. His understanding of the core value of how a series of letters, arranged in a particular order, creates a certain sound or invokes a certain emotion can be as powerful as a nuclear bomb and accurate as a laser guided missile identifying its target with spectacular and devastating accuracy makes this book a delight to read.
