Willow Monahan is fierce, independent, and hot as hell. She also takes great pleasure in shutting down my advances. The younger sister of one of my star players, Willow intrigues me to my very core. And while she may have willingly given me her body, she is hesitant to offer up more. Now I’m on a mission to find out why.
I’ve decided to approach my desire for Willow like I’ve approached much of my life; with persistence, determination, and a whole lot of that Dominik Carlson alpha charm. Buying a hockey expansion team, building the Arizona Vengeance from the ground up, and bringing home a championship may prove to be an easier feat than winning Willow’s heart.
But I’ve never been a quitter.
Willow Monahan… I’m coming for you.

Dominik is everything I love in a book boyfriend. His personality is a perfect mix of alpha, caring and compassionate, and protector. He takes care of those he loves despite the fact that his upbringing didn't provide him with stellar family/ examples of love. He is a consummate businessman but with an unexpected background, he does his best to do right by his players despite having to make difficult business decisions, and he does not hesitate to share his wealth with those he deems worthy.
Willow is the definition of independence. She is a photojournalist who travels the world, taking the assignments she wants on her own terms. She has been hurt by an ex fiance in the past which has put her off relationships entirely, but she cannot deny Dominik makes her want to reconsider that decision.
They start off on same page but quickly becomes obvious they could be so much more. This sends Willow running scared of course but Dominik doesn't take no for an answer. He pursues her doggedly without being an alpha-hole, and I loved that he was all in on trying to convince her that they deserved a chance at more than just friends with benefits. He has made his billions off ability to read people, and it serves him well most of the time when it comes to Willow. Even when he didn't agree with her, he supported her independence (once he got his mind in the right place). And neither one was shy about their desires or what they wanted.
They both learn to lean on each other to break through their insecurities- although I have to admit I wanted to smack them both in the head a time or two! She predictably acts to spite anyone who tries to tell her what to do or influence her decision, but she is also quick to acknowledge and correct when she knows she has made a mistake. In one of those knee jerk reactions, Willow gets herself into an extremely dangerous situation, and it is an eye opening moment for both her and Dominik.
Amidst the relationship drama, the Vengeance is making a run for the Cup so there is some hockey excitement happening too! Dax is in big brother mode as he watches his boss and sister trying to find their footing, and he has a few hilarious missteps and misunderstandings along the way. The other part of this story that I absolutely adored was the way the team's first line really came together as a family unit as much as teammates, and they included Dominik in that camaraderie.
So all in all, Dominik is a really great read that still has me smiling!! Be sure to get your 1-click finger in action for this book.

I’ve been looking forward to Dominik’s book since he was introduced in the first book, Bishop.
Dominik, the multibillionaire, playboy, team owner, very much a man’s man, with a huge kind heart, and a very giving way. He knows what he wants, nothing is out of his reach, except the sister of one of his star players.
Willow, the photojournalist who spends more time traveling the world for her adrenaline fueled job, than she does stateside with her family. She has no home, no bills, she is free to come and go as she pleases. She loves her family, she’s loyal, fierce, stubborn and does not like to be told what to do. Unless it’s by the sexy Dominik, but only while in bed.
Both of these characters are relationship adverse. Both were quite happy with quick hookups and then moving on. But one night between these two stirs things up deep inside each of them. Causing Dominik, for the first time to actually pursue a woman, and causing Willow to run far away from him.
Overall I liked their story. There is a lot of push and pull from both of these characters. There were things I liked about both, and things I struggled with.
I loved how generous they both were, deep down both are really good people. Caring, giving, and loving. Willing to go above and beyond for others.
What I struggled with was the over the top drama from both of them. Stubborn, childish, and just plain silly at times. They definitely had tons of sexual chemistry, I struggled to find any emotional chemistry. We are given lots of sexy bedroom time. But I wanted some get-to-know-you conversations. Some time spent together not in bed. We’re told these things happened, I wanted to see those. Feel their connection build.
Dual points of view. HEA. It can standalone, but I would highly recommend reading the earlier books so you can experience this line coming together to be the force that they are. Lots of hockey, which I loved.
Not my favorite of the series, but I will keep reading.
Finally, the ending was too rushed and provided for a really unsatisfying HEA.

When Dominik Carlson meets Willow he feels he has met his match. Neither are looking for anything serious and are just out to have no strings fun. Neither of them see what is coming when things change between them.
A very smooth rolling story, which feels like it is going too simple, then you are knocked sideways! Great writing.

Mega rich owner of the ice hockey team has been after Willow for a while. When they get together they agree it's just sex but things change and Dominik say I love you first and marry me. Willow runs, away and into danger.
Ok read certainly not rushing to read other books in the series.

Absolutely loved Willow and adored Dominik.
Brilliant storyline and wonderful characters.
Love how they are like one big family.
Love the connection between them all and love how the team have made Dominik onw of their own.
Looking forward to Rafes story next and hopefully read a bit more about the Vengeance.
