Domino Dare embodies that moment in the superhero fan's young life when fairy-tale favorites like Little Red Riding Hood and Dorothy (of Oz) suddenly make room for more puberty-friendly "daredolls" like Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. Domino may, in fact, be a doll...at least when she dreams, at which time she finds herself at the mercy of a next-door Caligari, who manipulates her for his own perverted amusement by placing her (via voodoo doll!) in kinky situations inspired by classic comic-book television. (Yvonne Craig fans will note the frequent Batgirl homages, such as Joker's Rocket cliffhanger, the standard motorcycle ride w/ accompanying theme song, and that purple "catsuit.")
In short, this is a movie for the viewer who always wondered what the Nazis did with their hands when permitted to play in the back seat with an unconscious Wonder Woman (Lynda Carter, of course!). Is Domino really going to be served for dessert in a giant cream-filled pastry? The mind boggles! But to reveal too much of the plot would be to spoil its many surprises, so let's just say that Domino had better wake up pretty darned quick, or she'll be putty in the hands of a chloroform-dispensing serial killer, if some gangsters don't send her into orbit first!
