I've been a Don Grusin fan for 20 some years. Also being a great fan of Lee Ritenour, Dave G. Phil Perry, Ernie Watts, S. Watanabe, Patti Austin and the others. It was a real treat seeing some of these guys together again. The smiles, the obvious great time on stage which they seem to enjoy - is just far out! Don Grusin which either has written or co-written all the songs just shows what he is made of. Don has always brought a little extra into his music compared to mainstream contemporary jazz. He manages to add some extra flavor and spice into his tunes and at the same time keep it funky, whether it's intrumental or vocal tunes. This is a must-have DVD for all Contemporary Jazz fans....

Great live performances from quite a collection of GRP artists on one stage! My favorite is "Catwalk" by Don Grusin, featuring Sadao Watanabe, Nelson Rangel, and many other talented performers. Also notable on this recording is Patty Austin and Natali Rene's vocals.

This DVD is a must have - 18 legends on one disc - I am thoroughly enjoying the music and the musicians - the camera work captures the interaction between the musos - you also get an opportunity to see Abe Laborial and Alex Acuna on one stage - magic -

Unfortunately the sound eng loses his way occasionally, but even that cannot distract - switch you mobile off for this one - you cannot afford distractions!!!!!!
