About Donald E. Gould
Gould's Rule 6: In all things, leave people better than I find them. This is my passion. To that end I have sought education, experience, practice and coaching. I am an author. I write paranormal romance and self-help books. I'm getting close to getting the first of those published. I'm also a luthier, musician, baker, blah, blah, blah. Not to minimize, just to stop. Just before my 16th birthday I realized that in order to break the ancestral mold into which birth thrust me I would have to constant stress my life to change and grow. My first foray was a guitar for my birthday. It took years of practice before people would not walk away. I played til my fingers bled. In the Navy I volunteered for submarine service because it was different. I began to learn to learn with that experience. Eventually I went to college and complete a BS in Physics, then years later three masters in various fields (MBA, Information Systems and Project Management). I've become a student of human nature, and how to best help others to be better people. Along the way I've become an experience IT program manager (PMP) as well. https://about.me/DEGould
This book is about finding your personal rules; those sayings and concepts that resonate with you. These rules should be developed carefully adding meaning and depth. Your should memorize your rules and be reminders of what you don’t want to be and more importantly what you do want to be.
I have included a bit of history, some interesting rules, and a bit about social rules. Many of these have obscure reasons for existing, but these laws or rules came about for a reason. In the eBook version, I provided links. In the print version, you can find the URLs in the endnotes.
I include my personal rules. You can’t copy them; you must find your own. However, I include them with detailed examination and anecdotes so you can see how much they influence me. In the last section are exercises and tips that you can use to guide you to your Rules for a Meaningful Life.
