About Donata Joseph
Donata Joseph believes in making her mark and changing lives.
In 2011, Ms. Joseph founded Adding Doses of Hope Daily Foundation to empower families of children with Attention Deficient Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She wanted to share her experiences, challenges and tips for raising two children diagnosed with ADHD.
In 2012, she decided to break the silence and address the escalating issue of Domestic Violence. Her blog, Behind Closed Doors, chronicled a seven-year abusive relationship. The post elicited responses from people all over the world. The Foundation sponsors events and programs that bridge the gap between mental health and healthy relationships. Through motivational speaking, youth mentoring and parenting education, she encourages, empowers and elevates individuals in all walks of life to reflect on their overall mental wellness. Prior to founding Adding Doses of Hope Daily foundation, Ms. Joseph volunteered in a variety of community settings, including nonprofit organizations, youth centers and churches.
In 2013, Ms. Joseph created DONATA, a natural skin care line that also offers skincare, nutrition and health seminars. She uses this platform to empower teens and adults to see the connection between their minds, bodies and spirits. The proceeds from DONATA help fund programs for Adding Doses of Hope Daily Foundation.
Ms. Joseph obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Florida International University with an emphasis in Behavior Analysis. She was a research assistant in the University's Center for Children and Families, where she focused on research and treatment of evidence-based approaches in child and adolescent mental health.
She lives in Miami, Florida with her three children.

I reached out to Renee about something funny I saw online and in talking this vision came to pass. We both felt we were each other’s missing link to birthing this dream.
Our first session was 9•17•16 and it was empowering. The 7 individuals that were there all walked away with only great things to say about The He6 years ago Read more -

Blog postIt truly was an amazing summer mentoring the kids at the Overtown Youth Center. Some of them really used that time to spread their wings to fly just a bit. Some broke out of their shells, some became more confident and some accepted and embraced themselves for who they are and had no problems letting everyone know that’s who they are. It was a powerful summer. We enjoyed every minute of it.

Blog postThis week we covered bullying and cyberbullies with our groups. The stories that some of our kids shared about either them being a bully of being bullied by others were so heartbreaking. One of the teens had the courage to stand up and share his story of being bullied from 1st grade to 6th grade. He is in the 8th grade now. For him to deal with the pain of being bullied he constantly would cut himself. His story was so powerful it brought me to tears. I commended him on having the courage to6 years ago Read more

Blog postAwesome ending to a great week working with the students from OYC. Touching the lives of children 5 and up is a blessing. Part of this week the kids got to practice presentation skills. After my failed experience of doing a presentation in college, we always incorporate those skills in our sessions. Students got the opportunity to stand in front of the class and talk about whatever they wanted to for a minute and 30 seconds. Their peers judged them on 3 things: posture, eye contact and voice6 years ago Read more

Blog postWe had a great time connecting and networking with the residents and organizations in the community of Overtown today. It’s amazing to share with people the programs we offer and to hear either they can’t wait for that program to be offered in their community or “I can’t wait for you to start that new program, I need it.” People are starting to realize, it’s ok to say we need the mental help. Weather it be through a support group, our workshops or just one on one conversations. We all need h6 years ago Read more

Blog postThis week we combined the boys and girls for an awesome conversation on body image. Each of them got to express what “they” thought the perfect body image is. We went into how media, TV, magazines, social media etc. affects our definition of the perfect image. Some of them even the adults opened up to talk about their current or past insecurities. We all at some point dealt with insecurities… looking back now some of us wished we embraced our younger selves just they way we were. Love yoursel6 years ago Read more
