Look at it this way... He tells you how you can't really trust the medical industry on this one because they just want to sell you drugs. They are in it for the profit he says, a common line from "alternative" health practitioners. Yet you read about him saying that in a book he's selling you. And that book directs you to his own website (which he pretends is just a website he recommends to buy supplements on and doesn't disclose it's his site even though you can easily verify it is by doing a domain lookup to see who owns it) to buy supplements. And his other website to sign up for tracking services and get referrals to health coaches and sign up for seminars etc etc. Which all make him wealthy. If by his own words you can't trust someone trying to sell you something, then why the hell should you trust him?
When one of these gurus pops up and stops trying to sell people things and stops living in mansions enjoying time on their yachts, then perhaps I will trust their motivations. And when they actually start doing unbiased double blind studies on their "coaching" I might take them a little more seriously.
If you are interested in the results I obtained by applying these concepts, here is an excerpt from my review of Kick You Fat in the Nuts:
I was intrigued by the concept that proper digestion is the key to health. I had not been exposed to this idea before. Additionally, it became clear to me why so many of my prior attempts to lose weight had failed. I had been trying things that I heard worked for someone, but not necessarily for me. With the insights I had gained from the book, I was able to learn more about what MY body needed and I lost 22 lbs. Then I wanted to learn more about what my body needed to be in balance. I enlisted the help of a health coach trained in this approach. I was able to effectively manage post-menopausal symptoms (hot flashes) and intermittent next and shoulder pain. I continued to read and study and it never got old. I have re-read the book, joined the FaceBook page, and listened to all of the Kick it Naturally podcasts. Years later, I am still learning, still studying and healthier than ever. Thank you for your efforts, Tony. You are making this world a healthier place.
I was having a hard time understanding why I would feel so crappy most days and then have a few good days where I felt normal. That alone told me it was possible to feel good again, I just didn't know what diet to follow to make it happen on a daily basis.
The intelligent and straightforward information in this book confirmed that my body will do whatever it takes to get what it needs, despite my bad choices, and the days I felt good meant that I accidentally did more of the right things.
Now to be able to know and do the things that help MY body, and do them on purpose, and FEEL GOOD EVERY DAY are worth more than the money I've spent obtaining the tools recommended in the book.
It is wonderful to know I have the energy to actually do a little Happy Dance without collapsing in the floor! Finally!!!
It has been 13 weeks now since I started taking the supplements and following the suggestions outlined in this book.
I have noticed more improvement than I ever thought possible in that amount of time.
I had been taking Claritin every morning and Zyrtec every night and Benadryl as needed for allergy symptoms ranging from pet dander to the food I might eat. I have taken NO allergy meds in 12 weeks. NONE.
I felt draggy all of the time and wasn't sleeping well. Now, I wake up refreshed and ready to get out of bed in the mornings. I couldn't function without my morning cup of coffee and now I only drink coffee a couple of times a week, when I want to ~ not because I feel like I have to.
But best of all, my cravings are gone! No more trying to figure out what would satisfy that elusive "I want/need something" When I eat a meal I actually can feel my body telling me "stop eating, you have had enough." I don't think I have EVER experienced that sensation before.
I really can't say enough good things about the information in this book. You really owe it to yourself to try "this one more thing" This is the REAL DEAL!!!!
