I am not sure how this product got such mixed reviews? I am absolutely in love with this infuser. I drink anywhere from 2-6 cups of tea per my average day and this is my 'go-to' infuser. It is easy to manuever both the lid and the stainless steel bottom and to put them together/take them apart. However, you must match the lid up with the edge of the stainless steel rim other wise you will block the holes and the tea cannot be infused but this is very simple to do. The holes do allow some debris of tea to go into your drink... sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. But come on,.. I haven't used a single infuser EVER, that didn't leave some debris in my cup. I find this to be ENTIRELY related to how finely your tea is ground up. This is also incredibly simple to wash (another weird issue people seemed to be having in the reviews..) just rinse it with your fingers with warm water and soap and.. BOOM! Clean! I have never used mine in the dishwasher though, I just clean it by hand. I purchased this product when it was on sale from the original price of $24, at $14 and can honestly say, I probably would have bought it at original price had I seen the product first, I just love it that much. I am a shark fanatic and when I saw this I knew it had to be mine. Like I said, unless other folks got defective products or are newbies using tea steepers this steeper is easily an A+ recommendation from me. If you want it and are debating getting it based off of the mixed reviews, don't. Im glad I took my chances with the reviews. New Fav Infuserrrr.
This infuser works great. I was worried the holes were too small and not enough water would be able to get in but I find that it helps to push the entire infuser beneath the surface of the water first and hold it there for a couple of seconds. This helps to release some of the air and allow the water to get into the small holes better. After you see the bubbles come up you can release it and it will still float at the top (but slightly lower in the water) and more water will be able to access the tea. I think it makes wonderful tea. Some of the cutely shaped infusers are really tough to clean but this one looks great AND can be cleaned easily.
Sharky works well. The holes are small and tea doesnt escape much, which is nice. However, he doesn''t hold much loose tea. I was hoping he'd be big enough to make a small pitcher but he's more like a 1 or 2 cup shark. I gave him as a gift with a tea that steeps red and a clear mug. Cute and creative gift for a tea drinker :)
This item is just too cool. It's a Christmas present, so I won't know how well it works until then. The idea of a shark in your tea is neat, then the tea is supposed to come out so that it looks like blood. What a great conversation piece and what a good way to make someone smile. I think it's terrific.
I love the idea of this and while it works well enough, it was much more cheaply built than I expected. The shard fin is a rubber and floats well, but is kind of a pain to put on the steeper. All-in-all it was worth the money and is quite the novelty.
the screen holes are somewhat large. should be a finer mesh screen. one floating in cup it will infuse water and works. overpriced but a novelty item and i knew going in. its good but not great
The infuser works very well, the holes allow very little lose tea to make it into the cup. It floats easily in the top of the mug, and is large enough to make strong tea in an 18 oz. mug. It has held up well in the dishwasher and with heavy use. Not to mention, it's a funny thing to see on a Monday morning. I work with kids and they think it's great when the notice it.
such a quirky little tea infuser!! i have had some great comments about it. i wouldve given it 5 stars but you have to make sure the tea leaves arents too small or they fall through the holes. looks great floating around in a cup of water!!!!
