Paul didn’t share her thoughts on them not being a good match. He kept telling her he was not just his profession but a man. Between Martie putting up roadblocks in their relationship, the town gossips and Martie’s pets, this was a wonderful story that I fully enjoyed.
This story is very well written and flows smoothly. The characters are well defined and you can relate to them easily.
Folks, you really have to read this story. it is about love and small towns. It is about a young woman who takes up residence in this town wanting to be true to who she really is. It is about a minister who sees past the differences to see Martie for who she really is... a wonderful woman who loves life and makes him happy.
I recommend this book for age 16 on up.
