This book is a true story based on the author's life of being diagnosed and living with schizophrenia. Mental illness is a very taboo subject that people just don't talk about. This could be due to being embarrassed or the fear of being labeled. It could also be due to the lack of knowledge about the subject. I commend the author for having the courage to tell her story in hopes that it will help others to get a better understanding of schizophrenia and that it is possible to function and live a normal life with proper education, training, and medications.

A good love story with a twist! Mosi and Anika are in a long term relationship, 8 years. Anika is dealing with trust issues from Mosi. Anika’s busy body friends; Mary and Rachel try to convince her that Mosi is not good for her. Anika meets David, who is sexy and charming. Anika begins to get stressed out and finds herself in the hospital. We need to remember that mental illness is real.

It is my pleasure to review Swiyyah Woodard's book, "Don't Call Me Crazy: I'm Just In Love." This is the story of making sense of what's happening to us, even in the midst of trauma. This brave young lady details her true story, often involving confusion and terror -- just as in our own lives, at times.
Through it all Swiyyah begins to understand what happened, admit help is needed after denying it, and being on a path of greater spiritual awareness. Swiyyah Woodard is truly an inspiration that we can all heal from extremely difficult circumstances and pasts and realize our dreams.

Did not mean to buy this. Thought it was something else.

This book had some unexpected twist and turns and had me questioning just how crazy the man character was. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I will definitely be reading the sequel. It keep me intrigued, it made laugh, it made me wonder, and I think that’s what I enjoyed most about it. It was also very well written. The only “negative” thing I can say is that I wish it would have been a little longer.

What can I say?
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 2, 2016Verified Purchase
This is an interesting and optional book. It highlights some of the many issues that individuals with mental health have to face throughout their daily lives. Anika and Mosi faced many challenges throughout the book which tested their relationship at times. Mosi was there for Anika but was he really there for Her is the question. I guess i will be reading the next book to find out.
It was a good read.

Kindle version not properly formated author refuses to fix it. Will give it a higher rating if author ever fixes. Here's a example of what I'm talking about.
