You see the giant footprints the moment you walk through the door. The conference room is a swirling mess of tension, heaviness, anxiety, and peanut shells. Something is very wrong with your team. Everybody knows it, but nobody is talking about it.
It’s obvious there’s an elephant in the room. Is it an Avoidephant, feeding off the fears of retaliation and exclusion? Perhaps it’s a Blamephant—whom we love to feed because it makes us feel better about ourselves. Or is it one of the other five types of elephants?
No matter what type you’re dealing with, executive coach Sarah Noll Wilson knows your elephant is not there by accident. It was created, and someone has been feeding it. Is it you?
In Don’t Feed the Elephants!, Sarah explores how you can address the true elephant in the room: avoidance. She shares tips for having conversations you may be avoiding, invites you to get curious instead of furious, and shows how to own your role rather than passing blame. You’ll come away with a shared language to free the elephants you see—and the confidence to do so.- LanguageEnglish

Review
Marshall Goldsmith, New York Times #1 bestselling author of Triggers, Mojo, and What Got You Here Won't Get You There
"Sarah will help you show up as the values-based, impactful leader you aspire to be. She layers grace and humor into her smart and practical approach making this a book that you'll go back to again and again."
Mindy Lauck, CEO of Broadly
"A lot of business and leaders talk about wanting to build more trust, but very often don't know how to move from the wanting to the having. In this practical and science-based guide, Sarah Noll Wilson walks you through the biggest barriers to trust with step-by-step guidance on how to overcome them. This book is crucial for any leader who wants to move from wanting trust to actually having it."
Tamsen Webster, message strategist and author of Find Your Red Thread
"This book will transform how you think about your relationships (spoiler alert: you feed more elephants than you think). Even better, Wilson's advice will give you the tools to speak about the unspeakable, show up with courage, and build true partnerships."
Alison Fragale, PhD, professor at the University of North Carolina and keynote speaker
"Sarah provides a powerful new lens to how we approach relationships. What would be possible if you just got curious? A glance through her curiosity lens opens up a world of genuine connections and unimaginable opportunities."
Jennifer Bryant, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of
American Equity Investment Life Insurance Company
"Sarah Noll Wilson's honest and no-holds-barred book will teach you how to tame every elephant in the room. Skilfully incorporating real-life examples is what sets Sarah's book apart from the pack. It's required reading for all leaders who want to make real progress."
Mark LeBusque, human, provocateur, and author of Being Human and The Little Book of Human
"A unique combination of lighthearted yet serious wisdom that urges us outside of our comfort zone to a place of positive possibility. Sarah's book offers us an invitation to step out of the stories we tell ourselves, to embrace the courage it takes to be a conduit for change, to engage curiously with our power to create conditions for cohesion and community."
Vicki L. Flaherty, PhD, joy creator and retired IBM leadership development professional
"Sarah really 'gets' leadership! If you are a leader, if you know a leader, if you want to become a leader, you MUST read this book!"
Erin Barfels, principal executive recruiter, The Carlson Group
"Sarah has been a compassionate force supporting leaders and helping teams face, embrace and transform the 'elephants' in the room, with curiosity, humor and courage. This book is essential for these very interesting times!"
Paul T.Ruiz, Leader and Coach at Leaders in Transition with Paul T.Ruiz
"The first time I heard Sarah speak in public, I knew there was something completely different and special about her. Certainly, she was gifted as a public speaker, no doubt, but it was the conviction, intelligence and common sense approach she shared with her audience. Sarah immediately made you feel like she was on your side and understood what you were experiencing in the workplace. I felt seen and understood.
I immediately felt compelled to start a partnership with Sarah Noll-Wilson to have her work directly with our organization. And I'm so glad I did. The greatest gift Sarah gives is the gift of time and her undivided attention. Sarah maintains a caring partnership with a hands-on, instinctive approach to consulting, and an uncanny ability to listen. Really listen. She gets to the root cause of every elephant that is in the room of an organization and calls it out."
Denise Forney, MSEd, corporate training advisor

Sarah thoughtfully has designed the book with anecdotes, graphics, easy to understand headings, and overall fun. But with all that, the content has a ton of meat, and every page is intentional.
Thank you, Sarah!
Give the book a read to learn how to make your team more productive, no matter your role in the organization.
