About the Author
Lauren E. Storck (PhD) is a hearing loss advocate with a special interest in the communication resource called "Captioning." She is President of the official non-profit organization (NGO) called "Collaborative for Communication Access via Captioning" (CCACaptioning.org) where many hundreds of concerned citizens globally aim to educate, advocate and raise awareness about the huge public health concern of hearing loss and push for much more quality captioning on all media and for live events also. CCAC also offers support for individuals and groups to action captions. Her background includes professional teaching, research, writing and clinical work in psychology, group dynamics, women's studies, leadership, intercultural issues, and online behaviors. She has one of many hundreds of kind of hearing loss (genetic).
