I found nothing wrong with the editing in this book. Yay! Surprisingly, that's hard to say these days.
The reason I took this down to 4 stars is because 1) it's not a complete story and really only the beginning of one, and 2) there are 3 different POVs in this story that are just laid out weird. The Prologue is 1 POV. The next few chapters are the h's POV. Then we switch to the H's POV, but instead of the story continuing, it goes back to the beginning from his POV. It does this a few times throughout the book. I found this to be slightly off-putting.
I wish the author could have found a different way to tell each character's POV rather than retelling the same story through 2 different POV's separately. Slight overlapping, I can get behind, but 5-10 chapters being retold through another POV is distracting from the story.
Other than that, I really enjoyed the story and look forward to reading the rest of the series.
I loved Ryker but I needed more feelings to continue I guess. Maybe I’ll continue just to see what happened.
Honestly the repetition didn’t do it for me.
Slightly didn’t like how (the story was told in the two PoV) but went back and retold some of one POV while in the other POV. Other than that exceptional writing and feeling.
The couple is so dynamic together. There were so many emotions
brought up with this story. Even though they had their differences,
they had each other in the end. Great read!
