This book has the first opening line ever! The writing is so funny and captivating. Sam is an amazing protagonist with so much life that it shows on the page so easily.
But at the same that it delivers incredible humor, Don't Tell my Mother is always a heartbreaking story about a family who can't accept who you really are. About looking for yourself, for freedom, for love. Every page kept me engaged and I loved so many things about this story. I just can't wait to read more of Brigitte's books.
