As a mom I love it because it's consolidated into one book so every letter you see you also get to say all the different sounds that it can make. Get it, add it to your collection. I wish I had it when my 5 year old was 3!
***Update: We've had this book for awhile, we read it weekly. The kids always grab this book when they have the choice! Now that we are working on reading we are constantly referring to Doodling Dragons. I stand by the 5 stars!
The pictures are large and colorful, but not too busy. Rhymes are creative and funny.
I am really hoping this author comes out with a second book that introduces the blends and digraphs, etc in the same way. I would be the first in line to buy it.
