Many of Dorman’s Engine Oil Pans include a drain plug and oil pan gasket for a complete repair. Since this part is a direct replacement, the exact fit provides an additional layer of efficiency and convenience.

Installation was easy using a tube of Permatex RTV silicone and no gasket. Getting the old pan off is a cinch and then you just clean off any oil/gasket/silicone from the block with brake cleaner and a rag, put a bulging bead of silicone in the groove on the pan and bolt it on. The only difficult part was getting the exhaust out of the way as it had been bent a little by the rock impact and two of the four exhaust bolts had seized (which is pretty common for exhausts due to the heat). Used an Irwin 14mm nut extractor and long breaker bar to get them off and then just replaced them with new high tensile nuts on reassembly. Since this job requires a fresh change of oil, you should also change the oil filter while you are under there. Not a drop of oil leakage since and the car runs perfectly again.
Including postage to Australia, this new pan was less than half the price of a used one from a wrecked vehicle. Used ones are also very hard to come by as wreckers like to sell engines whole.
Ok, off my rant. Product fit perfectly, and was virtually a replica of the original factory part. However it is a Chinese replacement.
When you are installing the oil pan, you must remove a small section of exhaust pipe to maneuver the oil pan out. Simple 15mm Socket, there are four. The ones retaining the oil pan are a 13mm socket, there are 17 of them. Remember after removing the bolts to apply anti-seize to them before re installing. Too easy! Gets 4 stars for lack of gasket!
But defects in the casting made it leak badly.
My mechanic is getting a new gasket for the original oil pan and putting the original oil pan back on for me.
Did not come with gasket and is listed to not have one
Ordered gasket on amazon as well
This fixed my oil leak
